For F10, the car must have S316A automatic trunk lid mechanism in order to close the trunk from the Dash or Fob Button. I do not see anywhere where this option is available on F30. I am pretty sure the F30 Open function is just a latch release with the trunk opening by spring, with no motor. If you have S316A automatic trunk lid mechanism, you would also have a button on the trunk lid itself to close it from the back of the car. Does yours?
Yes i have the buttons, its a F31 (touring) not a sedan. When i press the button inside it only opens automaticly. The button on the trunkdoor closes it.

But i want to be able to open and close it with the inside button

I know there's already a known code for the F10 that does this but the F30 is just a little bit different.
I (the whole one!) and mostly you find only people begging at @shawnsheridan to get the links

But then out of the nothing I found this information what I was searching for a very long time as it really annoys me that I always have to switch from 3 to 2 bars in ACC mode.

I've coded it today and I can confirm: it works on F30! Thanks a lot @JesseS

Question Coding

Can you code BMW 1er (F20) with the F30 combo (E-Sys and PSZdata 50.4 and the individual EST)?

If so, which Type to chose in E-Sys? "F20" like for the F30?

Yes you can, since the F30 software is similar to the F30

Do you have these:

HKFM => SCH_FBD
HKFM => SCH_TOEHKI
HKFM => TASTER_FBD

If so, set to aktiv.

It was a connection error. Reconnected and the error went away. Found the code for last setting for the AC so all's well. Thank you.

Smile Shawn -may I add yet another request to your in-tray?

Hi,

I've recently bought an ex-demo 328i and now I want to try out some coding changes. (Door lights, ASS etc)

Could you let me have the sources for E-Sys, PSdZData + patch/token, too, please?

I'd be very grateful!

I'm really new to all this so I'm guessing that the latest versions (E-sys v3.23.4, PSdZData v50.4 I assume) will work on a 328i manufactured late 2012)

Thanks again for any help you can offer!

If you have stock Xenon lights though, and all you are trying to do is enable the Angel Eyes as DRL, then the VO Code is:

8TL Daytime Lights Front and Rear Active

And if you have CIC, you can also enable this to add a checkbox under iDrive Options to turn on and turn off DRL:

8TN Daytime Lights About Light Menu Adjustable

Lastly, once you have DRL's working, I think you can FDL Code this to enable the rear DRL's as well:

FEM_BODY => TFL_MODUS = drl_s (U.S.) or = tfl_s (ECE)

Hi Shawn, I also wanna retrofit the headlights(with DRL) from halogen to xenon of 320i, could u pls share some coding guides? Thanks in advanced!

I am not sure what guide you are looking for. Once the hardware is installed and working, you should only have to add 522 to your VO and VO code FEM_BODY.

Was trying to code for blinking brake lights but I got an error about insufficient memory. Restarted the ESyS program but would not recognize or connect through VIN. Shut everything off, restarted and connected but when I went to read the CAFD file under FEM_BODY, got an error saying:Transaktions-Report: Aktion: Codierdaten lesen

FEM_BODY [40] [ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ]
readCPS o.k.
cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255 Fehler:
File for "cafd_ffffffff-255_255_255" not found! [C012]

Anyway I can retrieve my original CAFD file?

Also when you are changing Werte values at the bottom of the screen, how do you save them? Thank you.

That CAFD is corrupted now. You need to inject new one in ECU:

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on FEM_BODY => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD matching your I-Level => Select OK => Right-Click on FEM_BODY (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

In the upper right hand corner of the lower window where you change Werte Value, there is a Save Icon that looks like a Door with an Arrow coming out of it. Select it to save the Werte Value.

Thanks always for your assistance Shawn. Would the process above regenerate original values or just repopulate missing/ corrupted settings? Reason I ask is that I tried to tether online browsing and in the process lost BMW Assist. If you happen to know the original setti gs I would appreciate it for getting Assist back. I do remember changing csim back to psim but now dont remember what needs to be turned off.

Repeat process for CMB_MEDIA and CMB_ECALL if you have them.

I tried to retrieve the CAFD but none match the I-Step version shown in E-SyS. When I try to replace with the version close to the I-Step, I get an error saying CSFD nonexecutable. so I tried to go back and manually set things back to way it was to get BMW Assist back.

This is what I did to try to activate BMW Live and what I remembered to change back in bold to get back BMW Assist, but must still have a few settings incorrect, since it's not working:

Hu_cic-3003 Telefon telematic online
DUN_profile = activ
PAN_Profile = activ
BT_data_service = activ
Online_browser = nur_bmw_internet_aktiv
ONLINE_BROWSER_LIVE->aktivchange back to nonactive
Online_services_gls = activchange back to nonactive
Online_services = activchange back to nonactive
CDMM_bt_database = activ

Combox_media-3006 Telematik
Sim_enabled_mb = Csimchange back to psim
Combox_media-3000 General
mainboard alone = mainboard alone
ethernet = activchange back to nonactive

If Shawn or anyone have the original settings for BMW Assist, I would appreciate feedback. Thank you.
