What determines if your ED "mishap" will be covered?
Sorry if this has been covered already but I couldn't find any results after searching the forums.
I recently returned from a great ED experience. Unfortunately in the process of this experience I also had a not so good incident. I entered a narrow driveway that doubled as both entrance and exit into a sub level hotel parking lot. In order to clear my front bumper of a column which divided the entrance and exit, I cut my wheel too much too soon and curbed the rear passenger wheel (pretty heavily). I spoke with another member here that had a very similar scenario and he was able to have his wheel replaced at VDC. I just wanted to find out if anyone knows what determines if rim/wheel damage (or any other damage for that matter) that had been sustained while in Europe would be covered by BMW upon final delivery?? |

As far as I know, the coverage you get is pretty extensive. So I wouldn't worry. You made sure to mark the damage at drop-off right?!

Thanks for the reassurance SamS! I remember 4 months ago I received some input from you on my scheduled ED and now 4 months later I've returned from my trip/experience with an ear to ear smile! (despite the curbed rim) |

I got a little road rash on my back wheel, they fixed it at the VDC, no damage, no indication it had ever even been scratched. I think they may have replaced the wheel.
Don't worry, just keep your SAG! (Silly Ass Grin) |

You're welcome. I'd love to post pics but the dealer screwed me over. My CA told me my car has arrived since last Monday and that I can pick it up at any time. I got there Saturday afternoon and they told me it hasn't been registered yet because my insurance company never faxed in proof of insurance. At no point within the entire week did anyone try to contact me about this blunder and now I have to wait until after work today to pick it up again in hopes they have everything finalized at the DMV.
