I had a small accident. I had to replace the front bumper, right headlight and small radiator. But now my car does not go into drive or reverse. On the shift knob the "P" light is flashing Green, instead of steady green.

Please advise, do I need to reset something?

Why don't you drive it to the dealer? Isn't it under warranty?

You need a scanner if you want to fix it on your own.

He can't drive it to the dealer if he can't put it in drive. Call BMW service and see what they tell you. Though it may require a tow to the dealer for them to look at and fix.

Didnt you realize the car wouldnt go into drive before you put a new bumper and headlight on?

Hooked up the scanner, found out the stupid tow truck guy, broke my shifter. I took apart the gear leaver and all the plastic parts are broken within. Ordered a new one. Thanks guys

Wow, that sucks. Had a tow truck driver drop an E60 M5 off and ripped the front bumper, radiator support, oil cooler, underbody, etc off. Tow company told the guy to basically F-off. Cost his insurance more than $4k.
