BMS JB4 and f30 320i first impressions

Install:
Very easy if you have the right tools, which I did not.
Flexfuel connector is a bitch to unplug but possible with some effort.
The whole job took me more than 2 hours, but could have been done much faster.

Connecting to laptop and changing settings was easy enough, but feel like it could have been explained a bit better how to change maps. Eventually figured it out.

One the road:
It's completely nuts the difference it makes. I love it.
Overtaking on the highway is so much fun
Without any data to back it up, there is not much other to say that it's just pulling so much harder than before. Just feeling the way the back end of the car dives more when accelerating even at high speed is just amazing.

I've was afraid that this tune would not work with my car or I would not be able to feel any difference or it would fuckup my car.
But didn't even get a CEL, it just works.
Thank you BMS

Next stop is EWG harness and then DP and charge pipe. Hopping for additional 50whp.

now wait until you run with very high octane gas. The improvement is no joke. I own one (320i) and with its high compression and good tune and high octane fuel yields for awesome results. Yours is activeflex also so you can push it with high octane gas to very high numbers safely.

Great, Enjoy your car

don't expect a 50whp from dp & cp lol unless you add Ethanol with the dp, cp will not add any hp it will give you throttle response, possibly power will come sooner & smoother

I just added the EWG harness and compared to before I'm about 1psi higher in boost and very close to boost target all over. (I think it looks good, but I'm waiting for advice from more experienced tuner before I proceed with DP or 100% ethanol)
Maximum recorded boost on map5 on shell V-power is 17.4psi with same target.

try to log with gear checked so I can see your gear and do a log with more gear changes. You need to see the overall picture not just one gear. With DP you dont need a tuner you can use the same map. Also boost can be about the same in diff situations but power will be different as the factor that makes the car more powerful is timing and how much advance you got at wot depending on the type of fuel you use. I manage to actually take my car to the track on a two different dates with high temperature. Running with stock runflat tires I managed to make a crappy 14.9 with map 5 one time and 14.6 with only 1 gallon of VP mixed with 89 AKI. I run the car on the street with Torco additive which I can get the OCT numbers close to 95-98 AKI and the car is a low 14 high 13s car with the same mods in colder conditions. The higher the octane numbers the faster it will go. Right now the meth injection or running the fuel you are going to run will yield the best results with the 320i. The JB4 map 5 is aggressive enough but use good gas. If you need it faster you will need a custom map. MAP 6 and tune.

I don't know if it's a good idea or not, but I tried out Map1 also.

First screenshot is Map5, next two is Map1

100% Ethanol this time?
Pre-boost is not close enough to target. You may need to raise FF.

If I raise FF wastegate adaption from 50 to 60, will that prevent it for learning up or down in the future?
