Good news... though we've been here before!

What was the part?
Yeah, some details so we can all get to our dealers with the right info... thanks...

Mine went back in a faulty EGr valve yesterday. I asked him for an update on the puma case. The case showes no update and no change in terms of an expected resolution date.

I'd be very surprised if they've fitted anything other than a new light unit, which is the same as the previous ones.

I was advised today that there is a revised light fitting finally available and the dealership have one on order for me. Fingers crossed.

I'll update you once it's fitted.

Jesus christ I hope they’ve finally fixed it properly! I’ve been putting up with this for 2 years and 15 days now!

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. Mine has been fine since fitted so I am ever hopeful that this has fixed it once and for all. Don’t know the part number but contact cooper malton and I am sure they will let you know. Think the number is 01653600700.

I'll be ringing my dealer tomorrow. Disappointed that they haven't contacted me first as apparently I'm tied to this Puma case.

Just to let you know that the new part seems to have done the trick. I've not got the new part number but I think I have the Puma number somewhere if anyone needs it. It may be worth asking for some recompense for the inconvenience!!!

I've just contacted Cooper Norwich and apparently you guys that had a new light unit they're still just trialling them before the official fix is released, so I've got to wait a bit longer!

Sounds like bullshit! Tell them trial has worked and you want the same!

I just called Sandal BMW in Huddersfield. The original Puma case has not been updated since October and the dealership knows nothing about the new part. :-(

Anybody have any more news on this..?

I just noticed that mine still does it now and again... Whilst it is not the end of the world, it is still a tad annoying, in an odd kind of way...

Nope, Coopers still say there’s no update on the PUMA!

Since I taped my rear light up I don't notice it, so don't really care anymore. Then in the lighter months of the year you really tend not to notice in the slightest.

Same here, but we really shouldn’t have tape on the lights of a £50k car!

Can't disagree with that, but really, life's too short to be worrying about this kind of stuff. A few mins to tape it up versus hours lost traipsing to the dealer...

The 330e is in for a service today so have asked about the interior light issue. I've been told that they've had it a bit now, BMW are now looking in to the issue but having got a final resolution yet, but that a revised light unit is in development.

And it is definitely related to Adaptive Cruise control. So some progress I suppose.

They'll get in touch with me when there is a proper resolution.
