Lack of Alarm
Yes the dealer can install it, but as it's not part of the original equipment the insurance companies charge you for having no alarm. At $45,000 I'd think they could include it at least more often. The issue I'm having is I've looked at several cars, not to mention several dozen on line. Roughly 98% don't have an alarm, and of course I'm trying to match this up with other options.

Interestingly all UK spec F30's come with the alarm as standard. Something they call 'BMW Trackstar' which is basically a Tracker, is a dealer-fit option for £299.
