Brake Fluid service
Hi, I have to change Brake fluid this month. BMW gave me a quote of £91 and Halfords are charging £37, still waiting to hear from a BMW specialist near me.
All my service history are stored in my idrive and I don't have a service book. Are BMW specialist able to save the brake fluid service onto idrive or only BMW can do that? Is it worth going directly to BMW or should I just get a service book and go to either specialist or Halfords? What do you guys do for changing the brake fluid? Any advice is appreciated Thanks |

My dealership will improve pricing when confronted with an indy price, so worth trying that.
I agree with others on letting Halfords do it. If they snap a bleed nipple, which can easily happen, I would rather a BMW dealership were there to pick up the pieces. Having said all that I do my own |

Thanks to everyone for helping me out...I just booked an appointment with BMW.
I have a major service due this November, I've seen a lot of people in this forum choosing Indy over dealerships. How does it work? Can Indy store all the services onto idrive or do I need to get a service book from BMW? |

Only difference being, BMW dealers have a unique code number next to each service, an Indy will just come up as 0000 as the service centre. |
