anyone know if this can be coded? I am feeling the same way. Wipers arent sensitive enough when raining. I live in SOFLA and it rains all the time. When its not a heavy downpour i find myself manually wiping the window a lot.

C_CLC_ENA (switch to F30 enable from Fxx disabled)

KL_ENABLE_LI (switch to EIN from AUS)
KL_ENABLE_RE (switch to EIN from AUS)
MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_L_OUTPUT (switch to nsw_l from off)
MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_R_OUTPUT (switch to nsw_r from off)
As usual back up your original settings and make notes of any changes.

Currently only seems to work on autolights setting in car - perhaps someone can confirm if thats normal?

Do you have the adaptive headlights functional?
Thanks man..

No I do not have the adaptive headlights... They're auto leveling but don't move when I corner...

I suppose it goes without saying that you have the wheel all the way to the top on the wiper stalk for the rain sensor?
There are a couple of folders in FEM BODY that seem to be for the wipers... maybe have a search through there might be something.

C_AFS_ENA folder values would be a start. I have tried activating but no luck.
Mine is set to: F015disable, F020disable, F030disable, F045disable, F056disable, I001disable
Thats the main folder and there are a few more underneath.

Also there are 3 folders:
EM_FEMODE_0x71_LA_ADAPTIVEHEADLIGHT_ACT
EM_TRAMODE_0x71_LA_ADAPTIVEHEADLIGHT_ACT
EM_FLAMODE_0x71_LA_ADAPTIVEHEADLIGHT_ACT
Mine all nicht activ...

If you get the chance that would be appreciated.. in the meantime i'll keep searching.

I do believe that is the normal functionality. Part of the Adaptive lighting includes having the fogs/side lamps enable upon turning or reversing.

Cheers gerbs!
Yes the fogs are working for cornering and reversing function they come on together.

I wasnt sure about the benefits of this feature at first but have changed my mind, plus you can switch it off i theory by putting lights out of auto mode.

I think i setup everything correctly but when I run zgw_search, nothing comes up. Well I got something to show once or twice in zgw_search but it wasn't consistent. Then I followed instructions up to the point where I launch e-sys, click connect, select f020.. but the radio button for vin is grayed out. It says "no zgw found."

Thoughts? I'm running windows 7 32 bit. Thanks.

AFAIK, the zgw_search has to run successfully before you can connect via e-sys.

1. Did you verify the EDIABAS.INI Interface setting is set to ENET?

2. If you have wifi on the computer, try disabling the adapter so that the only enabled network interface is the Ethernet adapter. Then try zgw_search again.

If that doesn't do it, then we need screen shots.

zgw_search is informational only, and is not required to connect and code. In fact, it won't work on Win7 64-Bit machines unless it is set to run in the XP Compatibality Mode, which I would try here too on the Win7 32-Bit machine, as it is good to know the E-Net connection between the PC and Car is good, but again it is not required.

zgw_search is not actually needed to connect and code, although it is nice to have working since it indicates a good connection betwen the PC and Car. Try running it in the WinXP Compatiability mode.

Also, make sure you are selecting F020 and not F020 direct as your target.

Lastly, make sure that there is a "Dist" folder in each of the Chassis (F01/F10/F25) folders etc.:
e.g. "C:\ESysData\psdzdata\mainseries\F010\F010_12_03_5 1 1\odx\dist"

The folders should be empty, but they need to be there.

The EDIABAS.INI has a few "Interface" options!!

Is it the 1st one under [Configuration] or further down the list under [Interface] or both?

Cheers

It's the first one in the [Configuration] section. All of the others should be commented out. Lines that start with ; are comments.

Mine shows:

[Configuration]
Interface = ENET

My EDIABAS.INI file does not have an [Interface] section.

This .ini file is in the C:\EDIABAS\bin directory and is NOT the file that starts with _ (underscore).

I'm still working on the adaptive headlights (not sure if it's going to be possible) but the cornering lights via fogs I have enabled.
See my earlier post on that.

Folders are there. EDIABAS.INI file has Interface = ENET. Hmm, I'll try xp compatibility mode and turn off wifi as well.

Thanks all!

Anyone know how to remove digital clock from BC? It's not needed since its on center screen. I would like to show miles to empty & digital speed (already coded) at same time on BC.

Question: Does it matter that in step 4 and the est path in step 10 doesn't match?

Step 4) Copy "est" folder from "\\E-sys 3.18.4\est" to "C:\ESysData\e-sys est"
Step 10) Run "C:\EC-Apps\ESG\E-Sys\E-Sys.exe" (It will take E-Sys a while to write the log file) and Under Options, Settings: On the ODX Tab, set the ODX Rule Path to "C:\ESysData\Rules" On the EST Tab, set the Developer-Soft-Token EST Path to "C:\ESysData\est\Code Away.est"
