Thank you! You stopped the bleeding that’s for sure. Are you going easy on it for break in period?

I'm certainly trying to go easy on it but its so much fun to drive (I have over 200 miles on it already). I'll admit I've gone over the 4500 rpm limit a few times (once almost to 7000 - oops). I plan on keeping it in comfort mode or go easy in sport mode for the remaining 1000 miles until break in is complete. Then it's time for launch control!

Congrats. lol I am already at 500~ miles. Admittingly I have too gone over the 4500rpms, and at times to redline. The think I've been taught about breaking in is to have variable rpms. Do not have it stuck constantly to one rpm.

Hell I think i broke loose the tires on the backend a couple times already lol

I think these engines are ready to go when we get them but I’m still going to baby mine for the 1200. It’s probably a lot easier said than done though. 10 days until my ship gets to Long Beach!

Thanks for asking! I have been tracking the ship every day since and it got delayed by about a week. Now it's supposed to arrive in Long Beach tomorrow afternoon. What's odd is my dealer is saying that the car is going to arrive at the port in Ventura on the 6th.

I guess they don't install parts and stuff at Long Beach port? I'm getting black grilles, wheel locks and the MPPSK port installed, how much longer do you guess it will be after it gets to land that I take delivery?

Couple days for port options to be installed.
You aren't far from the coast so transit to dealer should be sameday, dealer prep 1/2 day.
8-9th?

all the cars go to BMWs VDC at Port Hueneme/Oxnard to get processed. So most likely either your car is being trucked/railed over from LB to Oxnard or it waits for the next ship to come to get picked up from LB then to Port Hueneme. (hope its the former for you and not the latter) Galaxy Ace is the next ship in on the 6th of March.

That ship lines up with what my SA was saying that it would get there on the 6th and it just arrived in Long Beach now. So about a week or so more sleeps until she’s ready for me to pick up.

The days seem longer now, the anticipation is growing, I haven’t heard an MPPSK car in person yet, hopefully it doesn’t piss off my neighbors when I leave for work in the morning. Drunkmonkey how is yours?

dude I love mine. almost to the point that I want to force the crackle and pops on the over rev, and look like a douche doing it. .

The one thing also it doesnt sound obnoxious upon start up, so your neighbors wont mind. Well it depends on how cool your neighbors are.

BTW Sign up at https://www.unitedroad.com/delivery-receipts

you can also track the trucks that handle the delivery from the VDC to the dealer.

Glad to hear you’re having fun with it! Glad it’s not too loud starting up too.

That website won’t recognize my VIN. Weird.

How many miles do you have left on break in?

I think you're supposed to use a VIN from another car that's already arrived at your dealership and then you can create an account and search for your car. My car wasn't shipped via United Road so I can't comment if it still works or not.

I have about 30 miles left for break in

Knock out those 30 miles and open her up!

BMW Genius said my car will be at the dealer Sunday. I’m so freaking ready to get it! My buddy has an M6 convertible 2013 DCT and wants to run. I’m gonna wait until after break in though.
