Hi,

I'm having a hard time trying to understand if I can upgrade my business system to the professional one.

It's not only for the bigger screen. I want BMW apps, enhanced integration for my iPhone, Internet and video if it's possible. I don't want to upgrade to NBT because I don't want to have any precautions when sending the car to the dealer.

Is this possible to do? Are there any sellers that offer a complete solution?

I *THINK* that replacing the 6.5" screen with an 8.8" one, coding to suit, and then vo coding your car to 609 instead of 606 would probably do it, (as well as coding for EBT etc if necessary.

HOWEVER, I think the actual answer will depend on what exactly '606' means in the context of your car- is yours an LCI model or when was the build date?

also voice control will not work without an extra code which must be purchased from BMW.

I'm not aware of anyone doing this as a service.

The car was built in 06/2013. It's not LCI. I can give you some more information if you need it.

You have the old Business nav HU Champ2. This can't handle the 8,8" screen. It is only possible with HU Entrynav (from 3/2014 on, so before LCI already).

Nor can you just code to 609 (Professional nav) as catharsis is "thinking".

The only one you can try is to code enhanced bluetooth. Therefore at Champ2 you need a combox, which you should have as you have Teleservices listed in your options.

For more you have to retrofit 609 Professional nav, NBT or CIC High (this older but easier to retrofit with your combox).

That's good to know! Would I have any problems with my dealer, if I retrofitted the NBT or CIC High, when I took the car for maintenance?

Depends on. If they want to make an update, then yes.
