You are in luck, the compartments are separated by a foam bridge which you can just pull out turning it into one large rectangular compartment.

Home skillet, you telling me you can do a Google search in iDrive and it will connect to the Internet and show you the search results? Essentially, it's a full blown web browser?

There is also a function called Traffic Jump that toggles between broadcasting your music and traffic/weather. This is kind of neat, but Im sure it could be rather annoying. It would be nice in the event of tornado watches, etc. though.

Anyhow, Im glad I finally got to it!
A 1-hour buffer for Sirius? Holy crap! It's like TiVo for Sirius!

Reading this thread is getting me more and more excited for the ActiveHybrid 3 that I'm going to be placing an order on come the residual release numbers for it on Monday!

Wicked!! So can you set it up with one of the 1-8 buttons so for example you could hit button 8 and and the ventilation system will start blowing in a specified amount of minutes after you lock the car?

How long can it run for? I guess the question is: how long can the battery safely run the fan without worrying about draining the battery too low?

Omg. BMW should be a better job advertising this stuff! This is a BRILLIANT feature. They should create a commercial just for this. So with your iPhone, you could be sitting in a restaurant and about to get your check and set it so your car parked outside will start running the fan to cool it off.

I remember from my E90, the car is smart enough to not let you do that. If the key is in the truck and you close the trunk when the car is locked, the hazard lights will flash and the truck will automatically re-open to indicate the key was left inside. I'd only assume the new F30 has this feature also.

I think it only does it for a half hour from the time that it starts. I tried to program it into my buttons but it wouldn't let me

Now, here the feature I learned yesterday from my ED delivery specialist - lift the floor panel all the way up until the edge contacts the trunk roof you will hear a click as it catches and will stay up so you can access the hidden compartment. Looks to be a magnetic catch.
The E90 had the same compartment, if you had a car with exhaust tips on one side. On a 335i or M3, that space is occupied by the exhaust and they don't have the compartment (or maybe it was smaller, I'm having a hard time remembering but I know my 328i had it and I'm pretty sure our M3 didn't). My 135i also has a compartment under the trunk floor, but it's much smaller.

I'm glad I found this thread, our F30 should be here in a month and some of these features are pretty cool. Preconditioning from the iOS app is awesome but I don't think we have that in the US.

Discovered awesome feature - you can accidentally trigger panic on the fob while you're driving in motion. Scared the hell outta me. LOL

How did you get it to keep points of interest up? I havent been able to figure it out or get it to work yet. Thanks for the info.
