Interior High Pitched & Clicking Noise

So there have been other posts on this topic but I'd like to see how many people have been experiencing any of the above. The sounds started about a week after taking delivery of my 335 and didn't think much of it since others also had the issue, but it progressively happed more frequently.

At first I thought it was possible interference between my phone and the computers in the vehicle, but this happened even when the car was off and no phone in the area. Then two weeks ago the idrive screen would not boot up past the BMW logo or would cut out. Sound could be heard through the speakers until the screen cut out again. This only happened once but with the noise getting worse it was time to bring the car in. Needless to say I brought it in and they had no loaner so I have to bring it back on the 24th, & of course the sound was not happening when I went to the dealership...good thing I recorded at an earlier date (see below).

Has anyone else who has had this issue brought it to BMW and found a difinitive resolution? If not I will keep everyone updated once it goes back in.

Check if your volume nob is too high or not.. That could cause that kind of problem (especially if audio mode is AUX and not connected to anything).

I had the same thing happen yesterday and the day before. Not sure if its still happening. It's hard to tell but it sounded like it was coming from the back. It was probably through the audio system, maybe noise from some internal circuits being induced into the amplifier inputs.

I have a 2013 335i with Harmon Kardon and Nav. What options do you have?

Same set up as you. Car is actually in for service for this issue so I'm hoping it will be resolved. I sent a few audio files to them since recreating these things at the dealership is almost always seems impossible.

I have 328i sports package (with all other option) and I am getting the same noise. couldnt find what it is. so I ll also go to the service station for checking.

Please update us what they found in your case.

I have just received an email from my SA that they will be replacing the CIC.

I will continue to keep all updated when I get the car back and will share the service comments as well.

I'm glad they are addressing it somehow. What is a CIC?

just noticed this today. turned off the volume and i could still hear it. gone after a few secs tho.
