That makes no sense, of course it's tampering with something or it'd be useless... And it does throw codes.
It's your money man. Those are false tuner codes btw. This guy spent $1000 to be disappointed

What are "false" tuner codes as opposed to real ones?

I'm considering JB+/JB4 myself, but wouldn't fool myself into thinking that it can't be detected just because it's a piggyback. Enjoying stock power for now though

MPPK does look expensive for what it is - I think it makes more sense if you're leasing and can roll it in to the monthly payment.

Codes that basically don't effect or really mean anything. They're "out of the norm" from stock but well within the cars limits. You can ignore them with no repercussions

This MPPK is only $900 because it's for MWG. It doesn't yield as much gains as the EWG MPPK for 14+ F30's. Everyone has their opinion on JB4 vs MPPK. I'd personally take a flash over a piggy.

That's bad info, even if you delete them they still exist in the history memory and the dealer can will see them if you make any drivetrain warranty claim. Also I can promise you it's very viewable in the FASTA data.

Don't get a piggyback and think the dealer can't tell for a warranty claim. They won't go in depth for other warranty claims to notice but if you have a drivetrain issue they will know.

Did they authorize any warranty replacement parts?

Sure did, replaced some of turbo air sensor, don't remember the exact part name. Second time brought it in for a boost leak they had it for two days running tests and couldn't find anything, ended up being the maf sensor causing issues. Neither time did they mention the jb4

There's no guarantee they discovered (or even looked for) the tune.

Quick Update:

I let the tune sit for a week and tried it out again. Definitely a difference. Not huge but it is there. The Evo could no longer get past me and I would pull away quicker. From a complete stop he would get beat pretty bad. So torque definitely got increased. I'm content with the tune for now. Not sure if I'll last till warranty is over to do JB4 or that new Dinantronic Sport Boost Controller.

What are the differences? I know early cars, like mine need a new brain for the MPPK, are these not worth the money?

From what I have seen on the forum, it is worth it because you get an upgraded DME that is better for real flash or piggyback tunes. I would do some more research on it though if I were you and ask guys that are in the same situation.
