428 GC delivered in Vegas
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I don't know if this is a coincidence or not, but if I rewind a while the GM tells me to tell him what I would order on a GC and he would get it just so I could see it. This was during one of my visits asking for help with the body shop - my wife's 528...another story. Back to present day. I went to see this car and it still has the plastic on it. It is white - my color - with read leather and it is loaded. I'm not sure what options may be missing. They wanted too much that night and I gave a crazy number I would be willing to do the deal for and I left. The next day I was headed to the dealership with my wife to support their charity car wash for two police officers that were recently killed. Unexpectedly, my phone rings and it is the salesman telling me they came down...it wasn't enough, I told him I just happened to be on my way to the dealership and I gave him a number to meet them in the middle. He said he would let me know when I got there. By the way, out of 5 previous BMWs, I only bought one off of the lot (used). The others were ordered. You have read this far and may wonder how the story ends. Well, tune in next week...nah, just kidding. I don't have any pics, but it is in my garage as I type this. You know when the first time I drove this car was? When I drove it off of the lot today. That and the red leather are two things kind of new to me. I didn't plan on getting a car this soon and I'm still kind of in shock, but it is a nice car. It handles better than the 5-series (obviously), but doesn't have the creature comforts we have in that car - soft close doors, luxury seating, etc. I am feeling really fortunate right now. Being able to drive these two cars is something I would never take for granted. Last edited by tomegun; 06-17-2014 at 11:46 PM.. |

Congrats!
The sales person at my dealership e-mailed me a few days ago basically saying I have a car with your name on it come down for a test drive. Black on black, loaded 435i GC. I say awesome. I'll be down there to sign the papers this week. Let me put a deposit on it right now. This thing will be AWESOME in manual transmission! Oh what's that? BMW NA will not be carrying the 435i GC in manual? Only auto? Oh man, bummer. No go. I like to tease them like that. Buwahahaha! |

I would say it is sporty, but the car next to it amplifies things - some for the better, some not as good. It is sporty and it feels great. On a long trip I would take the car on the left, but that doesn't really come as a surprise. For every day driving I would take the car on the right...it fits like a glove.
The rear doors look challenging, but I don't plan on getting back there and my daughter is only five. I like the power, I love the tech and I love the way it looks. I am having some problems with the garage opener. My two garage doors are programmed, but the gate isn't and it doesn't seem to want to work. I could go on and on, but...just look at it...I am happy. |

When you say that the rear doors look challenging what do you mean??
Will it be a bit difficult to get in??? What are the options that your GC has??? Enjoy your car and have fun!!!

Amazing! Thank you for the pictures! What a lucky guy!
Rear shot with the open boot (trunk) and front door is the money shot for me, really got me sold on the AW/CR combo! Would love to see a picture with the rear doors open too just to get an idea of how the frameless doors look at the back.
