Pre-Delivery programming?

So what are some of the things you are requesting to be programmed on your f30, prior to picking it up?

- Auto start stop
- 5 blink lane shift indicator (blinker)

What else? Anything with BMW apps? Any software tweaks?

Any cool remote programs? I heard something about closing all the windows, moon roof and folding mirrors with lock?

None of the things you mentioned will be programmable by your dealer. MAYBE ASS, but they seem to be cutting down drastically on that lately. Rest of it, you'll either have to do it yourself or find someone who can do coding in your region.

Is it true that newer cars (Nov. 2012 production and up) already ship with ASS last setting memory programmed?

False. I'm Dec production, and as far as my dealer knows it's not pre-programmed. Will confirm in a week or so once I take delivery.

My car was produced in Nov/12 and I can confirm that ASS is not programmed with last setting memory.

Don't let them give you a hassle over programming the ASS option before pickup; just tell them to do it or you won't give them their precious "10s" on the customer satisfaction survey. It doesn't come preprogrammed--only M-series cars do.

Bring your charged phone so you can ensure everything is working with it and download My BMW App beforehand. They can call the BMW Assist center while you're there, set it up and explain everything to you, instead of you having to figure it out on your own.

Tell them to ensure all the latest software updates have been installed before you pick up the car.

They won't code the other stuff and to be honest I wouldn't want any of it. Enough's enough.

You're gonna love it!

If you got the Sport or M-Sport, you should also check out the Sport DIsplays when you pick it up.

For no good reason, some people have US standard units and others (myself included) have ...other units.

Power is measured in kilowatt-hours instead of HP.
Torque is measured in nM's instead of ft/lbs.

Realllly weird. I'm taking my car in Monday to have this addressed along with the ASS code change.

You can change those settings using the customization process. Check the owner's manual for how-to.
