Didn't know if someone posted but was looking to lower my car and my local indy confirmed that shockware flash is 50% off until end of February on Dinan's website which any authorized dealer will honor the price.

Can't believe I didn't see that posted anywhere else, thank you for sharing that's a huge savings.

Wow, thanks for the heads up! I've been interested in trying this!

BTW I spoke with Dinan about shockware last month and was told that they use the same tune/settings for the F31 as the F30. When I asked why, they said that BMW's stock tune/settings for the adaptive M suspension are the same between the F30/31 so they did the same.

YW. Coming from an e90 sport, the default comfort setting was unexpected. I heard great things about this flash and since this is my first car with active suspension, thought I'd give it a try too.

When it says "Only for Adaptive M Suspension system equipped models." what exactly does that mean? I've got adaptive suspension, but no M Sport package or anything, just the Sport line.

As long as you have the Dynamic Handling Package with the electronic damper control shocks, you can get Shockware. It changes the behavior of the EDC shocks.

My vehicle is a Sportline with DHP, so you could have it. Go run your VIN at bmwvin.com if you aren't sure.

Getting mine installed Saturday! Shocks have 65k on them but at half off no reason not to grab this to hold me over until I can get coils or new damptronics!

Anyone else had this installed on a higher mileage car? Would be interested to hear your experiences.

Also, the sale only lasts until the END of February! I called them as well, and hoped to push this off to my next paycheck, but see now I cant.

First impressions:
-Comfort mode is less comfortable than I expected, but it doesn't bother me. I'm interested to see how it feels when I do my dirt road/gravel driving at the ranch (I always leave it in comfort mode there).
-I like having a stiffer suspension with the lighter steering.

-Sport mode: this is how it should've come from the factory! The vehicle feels much more planted in everything from simple lane changes to harder cornering.
-I don't find this to be uncomfortable or too harsh for DD (yet?), but you can definitely feel the more abrupt difference going over speed bumps and driveways.

Thanks for the feedback!! That's exactly want I wanted to hear. Haven't had the car that long so I hope I'm not accustomed to the comfort suspension

From the shockware product page:
Quote:
This software upgrade falls under the DINAN factory matching new car warranty of 4 year / 50,000 mile coverage.
So if your suspension fails early due to Shockware, Dinan will cover it up to your original BMW warranty period.

If you're out of your original BMW warranty period, I'm not sure what Dinan will do since they typically just cover their part (software in this case) for 2 years.

See their warranty page for details.

I'm having this installed on Saturday, and per the dealer (and Dinan's website) it is 0.5 hours labor.

Glad everyone is enjoying it.

At the current sale price its a no brainer for anyone with the electronic shocks.

Is this tuned any differently for the 340 with its new suspension setup over the 335?

*bangs* head on desk.

My 435i was in today for several things, but had them schedule this as well. *Apparently "M Sport Suspension" is not the required "M Adaptive*Suspension", though even my stealership didn't realize that until after trying the upgrade for several hours.

Sadly, I cannot get this installed, not for a lack of trying apparently.

I had Shockware and ACS springs installed yesterday on my F31. Like other reviewers have mentioned the change is noticeable, but subtle. Comfort is more like the old Sport mode and Sport/Sport+ are definitely firmer than before. Between snow and traffic yesterday I didn’t really get to push the car much, but avoiding potholes in comfort mode was a definite improvement. I kind of wish I would have had Shockware installed separately from the springs because there's no way to tell how much of the difference is attributable to the springs or software. Overall the car drives better and you can’t go wrong for the sale price.
