Well, it was directed towards the sports auto owners
As a power mod it should probably work for the 6MT as well, forgot to mention it adds half a cylinder per paddle actually

that looks awesome Vitoco, really interested in doing this. Can you shine some light on how hard the install was? is this a DIY job? etc? Thanks!

This whole installs takes 15 minutes tops. You basically need to remove the airbag, but you don´t have to unplug it (if you have a set of extra hands that can hold it for you, careful not bending or twisting the plug). That´s actually the hard part, the rest is easy. Be very careful doing this, not only when it´s out but when trying to press the springs holding on to it. Find a guide to figure this part out. I advise you to either disconnect the battery or unplug the airbag. If you only unplug the airbag make sure the ignition is OFF. If you don't wanna unplug or disconnect, just make sure the ignition is ENTIRELY OFF, put the key fob in the trunk or something as well. After removing the airbag you then use a torx-screwdriver to loosen the screw holding each paddle. It´s the one to the right. on the pic below. There´s no need to remove it entirely to take out the paddle, what you will do is push the paddle back when it´s loose enough. Thing is, the M6 paddle and the F30 paddle are an identical fit however the electronics module on them differs (according to the germans on the site I found this how-to on) so you will need to keep the original module/box. This is why you don´t have to remove or disconnect the paddle entirely, just enough so that you can push it back to be able to remove the paddle from the still connected module (the torx-screw sits in the module, not the paddle) and then attach the M6 paddle to the F30 module. This means you will have removed the M6 module from the the paddles on forehand The modules are removed by pressing out a sprint which you will have to locate. The sprints can only be removed in one direction since they are tapered. Just press it out with something thin. Be careful not dropping the small spring and plastic parts that sit between the box and paddle. Experiment on the M6 ones when removing them and learn how it all fits before doing this tricky business with the ones hanging from the steering wheel during install. Pics below show it all None of these install-pics are mine (except the one in the first post). Big up to the germans for being so curious

If you buy them from a retailer they're around 400€, but I found them for 130€. Brand new and all. So in context, they're "cheap". Worth it, but I wouldnt give more than 200€.

Folks - Never, EVER start jamming metal objects like screwdrivers near an electrically charged explosive device. That is a one way ticket to the Darwin List. Be smart and unplug the battery before you ever mod/alter near an airbag. Be safe out there...

Having the ignition turned off compeletely then placing the key fob out of range, is the same thing. So the likelyhood of a screwdriver setting the airbag off is the same, whether the battery is unplugged or the ignition is fully off. But if it makes you feel better, unplug it. Or, unplug the airbag. Which will not give any fault codes if the ignitions is off (or battery disconnected)....
