Happy new car day!

Picked up my 335d Msport today.

Had a short run out visiting in Warwick.

Spec with a few added goodies...

Estoril Blue
Black Dakota leather
Media Package Pro
HUD
Nav System Pro
Steering wheel heating
M Sport braking
Adaptive M Sport suspension
18” 400M style wheels
Electric front seats
Heated front seats
Lumber support - front seats
Adaptive led headlights
ACC
Harmon Kardon

As usual, it came down to a price.
My negotiating skills meant, I had to throw away Tanzanite and a sliding arm rest

I have to let go of my manual Deep Sea Blue 325d (very similar to Tanzanite). Such a fantastic car. I'll keep it for a month in case i change my mind

I have a couple of questions.
Does 'send to' in Google maps still work?
The sales guy wasn't really aware of the feature. He was only aware of the BMW app for phones.
I seem to remember the dealer having to set this up when I bought the 325d. (But it was over five years ago).

And.
I have to go away for a couple of days tomorrow and fly from Liverpool airport.

Which car would you leave parked at the airport?

Thanks.

I know....
I'll try to post some pickies tomorrow.

It's also had their Guardex paint treatment, or whatever it's called these days.
I didn't spec it, but some mix up at the dealers occurred.

Can't see any swirls yet....

Send to car does work and in fairness is the only part of the app I use. Very useful for Nav, if you don't mind a random route.
The only issue and I'm about to go off on one here is pro Nav navigation is very poor. In fact combined with RTTI it is F ing rubbish. Enjoy!
I will start a new thread shortly on how fucktarderly (new word) the set up is. Never again.

Had a quick look at the Google info.
I'll go through it tomorrow.

It says there is a one car per google account restriction.
To keep my existing car, I'll need another account......

By the by, does the time on these posts show around 1730 to 1750hrs today?
It's to 2150hrs now????
Edit: Strange. It shows the correct time if i'm logged in.

If you're not logged in the site doesn't know who/where you are so it defaults to where it's hosted - presumably somewhere on the US east coast

Looks good. Did you have to spec the ContiSports? I thought 400Ms always came with S001 runflats.

I didn't spec the Tyres.
Came like that.

Blue brakes match the car colour. 🙂

What's up with 400Ms?

You didn't spec the alloys
Alloys most important thing .

It's like getting wedding dress and wear it with sleepers

Nice motor though mate

Really??? What are you comparing to? My experience is that idrive has been far superior to Audi and Mercedes nav, in terms of layout, traffic (versus TMC) and actual navigation. Would be interested to know if other manufacturers have upped their game?

Nothing wrong with 400Ms. Look good and the 18s give a good ride on shit roads. I was just curious how you got contis when I always end up with potenzas.

I got Pirelli PZeros on mine. I asked the same question a while back. Complete luck of the draw apparently. Last 3 before that have come with bridge stones on.

Thanks.
It's a cracker.

I did choose the wheels but not Tyres.
Didn't want 19"
Cost also important.
So 400M it was. 🙂

I tried to spec winter Tyres for the E90 - November delivery.
No chance.

The only thing I have liked is that some manufacturers have petrol station brands showing on the map- handy if you favour a particular brand and you're on the hunt, (think that's on both merc and Audi and I also like that the Range Rover nav shows how far away service stations are, and what features are at each one- also handy if you have a penchant for KFC!!
