H&R Springs for 2012 F30 328 luxury model

alright, so I have been reading all the posts on here about lowering springs and have decided I am going to go with H&R sport springs. is there anything else I need to do/get before having these installed. I understand some people recommend getting the Bilstein B8 rear shocks along with the lowering spring. Let me know what you all think, I am new to all of this.

Also my car is a luxury edition 328 (no Xdrive)

What I've learned is that replacing the springs whilst having stock shocks is a bad thing to do. I bought some sport springs as a temporary wheel gap solution before I purchase coilovers in the future. I haven't installed them but for some users, bottoming out can be an issue. that's due to the bumpstops being different in relation to lower springs. to cancel this out, the dinan spring kit would be your absolute best bet in terms of overall ride quality and longevity as the kit includes springs as well as bump stops. however, if you drive on normal roads I would assume you would be okay running hr sports as long as you avoid potholes, dips, speed bumps, etc. no other parts are necessary to install the springs besides a near $700 installation fee. most shops regardless of experience charge upwards of that price. hope this sheds some light on your situation!

Oh yeah, almost forgot. an alignment is obviously required after springs are installed. whether you want it done right away or after the springs settle (about 2 weeks) is up to you

Coming from my experience, get the h&r sport if your roads are nice if not then I suggest dinan with bump stops or get the h&r springs with dinan bumpstops if you want a lower ride.

I just went with springs and I hit the stock bump stops often when I go throught dips or bad road conditions. Gets bad crossing bridges with rough seems.

Most often it's the front that bears the brunt of the impact and not much is felt from the back.
