Style 269 Performance

Hello Everyone,

I have a set of OEM Style 269 Wheels. I removed the tires because they were bald, the sizes were: front-225/35r19 and rear 255/30r19
I got these for my previous BMW (e90), I now have an F32 and would like to know the tire/wheel gurus a few questions:

First, I want to put front-225/35r19 and 275/30r19, Will these tires be a good set up or will they change my MPH or handling?

Second, if my previously mentioned set works, Will they fit my F32?

I ask because I don't want to invest on new tires just to have them not fit on my car.

These are the wheels in questions.
the second pic is me placing the wheel on an empty box to simulate how they would look.

Thanks for any and all comments.

Looks like the picture did not come attach properly. I am thinking of going a similar route... it seems like the tires may be a bit small though. I believe stock is 225/40/19 where the rear is 255/35/19.

You should try to find a fit close to those measurements in order to avoid Speedo errors or unnecessary mileage build up.

Thanks for the reply reprod. Pictures fixed. My main concern are the rear offset. The front difference is 36 on the car and 37 for the wheels, but the rear difference is 47 on the car and 39 for the wheels.

Offset-wise, you will be ok depending on the tires that you select. For something more illustrative you can check this website.

http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

You can enter your current specs and the new specs there and then compared your offset differences as well as change in rolling diameter.

You should be good on the offsets. I'm running 29 on my car and it's just flush. Also, I don't think you'll want to run 225/275. That's a huge difference for a car with 50/50 weight distribution. I'd say keep the stock 30mm stagger or go down to 20mm stagger. So 225/255 or 245/265.

Also, 225/35 and 255/30 is too short in diameter. You have to run 225/40 and 255/35 to stay with the stock specs. Otherwise your speedo will be off and your wheels will be spinning faster than stock. For 245/265 you can do 245/35 and 265/35

Thanks for the info Momo, however when I bought the wheel set that is exactly how they came out of TISCHER BMW. I got them from Evan/Jason and I even did a mini review as to what their specs where weight and all.

I'll keep it 225-255 or 245-265 like you've suggested, although if put 245 in the front by the 30mm difference shouldn't I put 275 in the rear like 245f - 275r?
by the way the 19 inch stock that come with the m-sport package on the F32 are front:225/40r19 and rear:255/35r19

Thanks again for the input guys.
keep'em coming!!!

Well that's interesting. The stock 19s from BMW (335i rim upgrade) are 225/40R19 and 255/35R19. So 225/35 and 255/30 is definitely shorter than stock. Maybe no one caught it in your thread, or it might be ok to run short. You should clarify that with Tischer just to be sure.

Also, yea 245/275 keeps the same stagger. I was just saying 30mm should be max, but you can do 20mm as well if you want more balanced handling. If you want as close to stock as possible, then 30mm (245/275) is the right way to go.
