If you mess up a module coding it, just VO Code it to reset it.
so there's no real risk if i just want to make a few small behavioral changes (eg bluetooth functionality)?

Yes, no "real risk" of bricking an ECU in just coding.

Corona Ring Intensity

I have noticed that when the Corona Ring as DRL's they are very bright; once the headlight turned on, the Corona Rings dim.

Is there anyway to code the Corona Ring intensity so they won't dim when the headlights are on?

TIA

I've been an Audi guy until my 335i and the fact that this is so much cheaper than the 350-500 for vagcom is awesome!

3) You can accomplish everything via FDL Coding if you know what you are doing, although it can be more tedious when there are many changes required. But for instances where you don't fully know all the required FDL Codes to enable a feature, or for ease, if you have the required hardware, you can alter your VO Option Codes, and then VO Code a module(s), which will code the entire module, all at once, making all the FDL changes for you to support every Option Code in your VO.

So for example, removing 6NH from your VO and replacing it with 6NK won't automatically get you Enhanced Bluetooth functionality unless you physically also have a Combox.
shawn, so when i look to start coding, since all i want is my bluetooth extended functionality (audio profile, etc) and usb without y cable (as dos verified works), would it be easiest to just follow the supplement part 3 and change my vo from 6nh to 6nL and let it code the module options for me? i have a combox media already.

Sure no problem:

Hello everyone, first of all I wanted to say thanks to everyone for their input on this thread. It is a loooong but interesting ~80 pages to read.

I would love to start doing some coding but I still find it extremely challenging to figure out exactly what I would be doing once I get my cable. I was wondering if anyone might be able to put together a short video of how they do the coding (from opening the programs --> connecting to the car --> to making a change, saving it, etc). I know that this is a big request but I seem to be a better learner when it's video or audio as opposed to text. This is a selfish request but if anyone has the time/patience to do this I would be be forever grateful.

Thanks for even considering the request!!!

Post pictures when your are done.
Before I can even start to explore this, I think i need to first attend some sort of Computer Programming & Networking class as well as automotive engineering stuff, which might take me well over 10-15 years (given my academic incompetency)..... so please wait for this to happen, I'm sure I'll get to it, eventually
