i-drive acting up

Out of curiosity, for those of you who saw this happen, were any of you running the iOS 7 beta on an iPhone connected to the car via Bluetooth or directly?

I have not had this problem occur to me, and I have been using the beta since it first became available...

I have similar thing happened to me last weekend then last monday and driving me crazy. Why does this sort of thing happened to several people at almost the same time?

I got no iPhone and i have been using a USB stick with a corrupted mp3 files all year long... nothing like this reboot has EVER been observed until last weekend and a few days ago....

I got my car back from the dealership with no real answer from them.. they could find anything wrong...

Will continue to observe my idrive in hope this doesn't occur again...

Yeah, it's probably a coincidence in timing, but worth exploring.

Hadn't noticed anything weird in the car since installing the beta the day it came out, other than the Music app insisting on taking over when I want to use Spotify.

I think I've lost email messages - only SMS seem to come through to iDrive, but other than that I've not seen anything strange at all.

Just a "me too" post. iDrive restarted several times on Sunday/Monday. Saw the "No Signal" screen, had the $ next to the XM stations. Was extremely unstable. Hasn't happened since.

Well it's not a programming issue! Mine failed 2weeks ago, lost Nav, reboot and that horrible clicking ( more like a paddle ball sound). Anyway it was the drive that failed and they had to replace the whole system.
Another weird side effect was my rear windows would not work with the auto up or down. They said it was related to the computer failure.
Luckily they had one in stock.

The paddle ball sound is spot on...good comparison. The car is at the dealer and I got word that they are replacing the CIC.

Dropped my car a the dealer today. gave them all weekend to work with it and got it back today. i was told they had 3-4 other cars with the same issue come in. i was given the car back with no repair done. they said that there is no fix for it and "bmw is working on it." which is believable. but i dont like that answer. i will end up calling customer care just to log the complaint.

I'd be willing to bet this has something to do with it... I don't know about android but a similar carrier bundle would have been pushed... What carrier bundle is everyone on?

It happened again yesterday...
on - off - on - off - on - off

Whether you are on the radio, Satellite or CD.... the i-drive kept on cycling and rebooting.

It happened to me again yesterday, too. From about 11:30AM or so on through the rest of the day. Working perfectly again today. Almost exactly one month since the previous time. I'm thinking it's some sort of update that's failing.

Happened to me this morning on the way towork. This afternoon all was well. Car purchased last October. Hasnt been to the dealer since.

took mine in today again for the same issue. second go around. this time instead of doing nothing they told me that they reprogrammed the system. just fyi. no issues so far.
