I'm about to buy a set of aftermarket rims and I intend to reuse the TPMS sensors.

Obviously I will purchase the rebuilt kit.

Is this install pretty simple or are there complications that I need to tell the installer about?

(my company actually manufactures the actual TPMS sensors for the OEM industry so I know how much it actually cost... Out of principle I am not going to pay 250 for a damn set)

Umm, if you work for the company that makes these shouldn't you be able to answer your own question????

we are an OEM supplier so they still have to be plugged into some computer by the OEM or another tier 1 to get some programming done. If we were approved for aftermarket, we could...but nope . The programming/coding takes seconds, but don't tell me that alone adds $50 to the price of the part. That, and I don't think we carry the exact same sensor used for F30s

I may be stating the obvious but if each sensor is returned to its original wheel "location" then nothing has changed in the TPMS system ?

I think it is about replacing rubber seals. I had mine serviced at Discount Tire (on another car) for a small fee (don't recall how much) when I got new tires. I'm not convinced it is necessary every time you replace tires. I wouldn't expect the seals to deteriorate that quickly.

Install should be pretty straightforward. As simple as securing a few bolts and washers
