F31 Embarrassing rear boot mesh divider question.

I can not get the rear pull up mesh thing located back on the top of the rear wheel arches. it just spent want to lock back in place.
I can't see what else to do put it over the brackets and push it down.
Nope. tried really slamming it in place and still won't lock in. Occasionally one side will click in place but never both.
Is there a knack for this. I've spent 15or more minute on the this afternoon and I've walked away before I lose it and break something.

yep. it fits against the back of the seats and it's curved to allow the parcel cover to fit in.

Yep exactly that. But the clips at each end won't engage with the eyelets that protrude out from the wheel arches.
The two buttons on the top stay up.

I've done this. You have the cassette that holds the boot safety net round the wrong way - it'll never latch.

The curved face fits against the back of the seats - the flat face butts up to the retractable tonneau cover cassette.

Agreed back to front spent 10 minutes swearing at the Germans for making it so hard to get it back in to realise it was my numnuts error

The curved face suggests it should go against the parcel shelf but, like others have said it goes against the seat back...

Also caught me out! Stupid design language!

I think this is an error every F31 driver makes at least once. Usually in the dark when it's raining of course.

Boot safety net now happily installed.
What a weird piece of design. Clearly no user error here all down to poor design by the Bavarians.
