I am now the proud owner of a F31 335d

All I can say after a very, very, very, very long journey to Birmingham in my TTS (should have only been 1.5hrs but took 3.5hrs) that the F31 is a much more stable car and despite being totally knackered & have no clue of my new cars actual performance the Xdrive and the comfort, toys & controls are impressive and I love the quality.
Glad to be back in a BMW

Cheers guys.

Its in the garage now & pretty filthy, it may be next weekend before I get the time to give it a clean & drive it again, especially after some c**t flew past me on the motorway absolutely pelting/drenching my car with slush
Honestly though the stability difference between my TTS and this car was a marked difference. It felt really safe and planted by comparison.

Was the TTS not Quattro?

Yes, with almost new tyres (albeit summer Good year asymmetrics). Don't know if was a weight thing or wheelbase thing whatever is was it didn't inspire me with confidence on slight off camber roads. Perhaps it was Audis lack of feel not allowing me to adjust the car as quick but as said getting in the BM was like I was in control again.

I'm surprised at that. Either way, I always feel at home in a BMW too (for the same reasons as you), so I know what you mean.

It'll be even more planted with ACS springs fitted.

Its the law for xdrives.
