Only when someone invents a magnet that sticks to plastic. It would have worked on my '78 Malibu wagon I drove in HS, though.

These guys are just busting your chops.

Magnets will certainly stick to the front bumper cover.

Just need to apply liberally.

If you're looking for a removable plate option, looking to something like this.

I did this exact thing on my Audi. I glued some magnets on the back side of the bumper and then did the same directly onto my license plate. Worked great but since then I dont use a front plate anymore. At least here in SoCal no one seems to care.

The problem is you're 1000 times more likely to scratch and gouge the bumper cover this way, not to mention the risk of it falling off. I mean, even if you use the super force magnets vibrations and wind can shift the plate and once the field is broken enough between the magnets, bye bye plate. It's a chance I just wouldn't take.

Like having mine bolted to a holder and screwed into the tow hook.

Unpopular opinion: just screw some holes in it and put a front plate bracket on. I've never understood what the big deal was.

Oh, I know this is unpopular. My real plate is screwed on with a bracket. I'm asking this for my europlate. I shoot videos and photos, where I have to switch locations quite often. I used 3M double sided tape, however had to replace it everytime I removed the plate from the bracket. I would love to just keep it on, but that would require another set of holes and I'd probably get cited...

I was thinking of getting a few magnets, glueing them to the back of my europlate mount, and cover them with cloth.

The plastic bumper cover is plastic, but the actual bumper is a heavy metal bar behind the plastic.

Otherwise you wouldn't believe a magnet to stick to a "non-metallic painted car" either ;-)
