I had some rough idle at first and also what appeared to be smoke at start up when I first installed the product. After I took my car in for service they did some software update and I reinstalled the BMS, after that I idol and smoke were gone. This was months ago, did you all get the latest software updates?

I tried the 1/4" nut solution. My car still idles a bit rough but it is much improved. Only had it like this for a few days so gonna continue to test it. Good thing is the car won't stall anymore. Well it's a start lol.

I haven't experienced any rough idle in quite some time. It seems to have worked itself out!

Nothing has changed at all. I don't drive it very often either. I did, however drive it yesterday afternoon and, again, no rough idle whatsoever!

I sold my 335i at the beginning of 2015. I never found a solution but it kind of just stopped happening on its own in my case.

I've had mine installed on my 2015 manual 335 for the past few weeks. I Havnt noticed any sputtering or issues whatsoever.

I did buy mine used and to be honest, not sure if it's an older one or not. All that matters is that it sounds f*&King unbelievable!!!

Ok great! Did you notice any power increase? And is the sound improved under the hood or out the exhaust?

My car has MPPK and I threw a BMS stage 1 on as well (I still to this day have no idea if BMS is giving me just an extra 15 or so horses, or if it fully stacks on top of MPPK), but even with these minor tunes, I don't think i feel much power improvement if any. If you think about it, even if there were say 5bhp increase in power, are you really going to feel it with your butt? I wouldn't think so.

I installed the intake for only one reason. Because I have read that the sound is awesome. What I got was exactly what I expected so regardless of power increases, its a mod worth every penny for me.

if you're solely installing it for potential power gains and could care less about the sound improvements, you might find the intake a waste of money. Unless of course your car has JB4 with other bolt on upgrades where an intake would be much more functional.

Mike from N54Tuning might be able to provide some additional feedback.

Great review lol. I got the JB4 from mike@n54 and it's a noticeable increase. I'm not racing anyone so I don't need more power but that sound is what I need! How was the install?

Install took all of 10 minutes. And probably less than 5 minutes next time.
The only thing i skipped out on was removing the metal clips that clamp on to the stock air box. I tried for about 5 minutes and gave up because those clips were not going anywhere. So I just left them. Now that I think about it, given I spent 5 minutes on those damn clips, the actual removal of the stock intake and install of the new intake still only took 5 minutes my first time.

Any sound clips of the intake with stock exhaust? Prefer in the car while accelerating.

Thanks!

I just ordered mine today, hopefully there isn't any issues with those rough idle people has in the old ones. Question, is this oiled or dry filter? Do they have both option because I prefers dry one. In case is just oiled option, how many miles is the cleaning cycle. Thanks

Guess I'll have to take it off and check. Is it just me?
It has happened to me once. give the car about 30 seconds to warm up instead of driving right away. Then you shouldn't have big issues like that.

It is oiled, they recommend 10k miles also. And there is slight rough idle, just give a some time, like 30 secs, of warm up before driving! Been enjoying mine for months now!

Is this just in the morning time when the car is cold or it could happen also after a quick stop or been off just for an hour or 2? Thanks
