I hear ya man... I just thoroughly enjoy the act of driving, it's almost meditative at times, and it's one of the only times/places I listen to whole albums from start to finish, so I'm stoked to be getting my hands on a fine piece of automotive engineering to spend my time piloting.

The beginning of it will be the same, the end will be unique... if you just take the last 7 digits of the VIN and go to a BMW VIN decoder it'll show you all the specifics of that particular build... So rather than search my specific VIN, I left off the last 5 digits to do a general "4 series being shipped" search.

Here's a screen shot of the query... if you go to http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html and type in any of those VIN #'s you'll see that they are all 4 series destined for the USA

Thanks for sharing the website. My car is in the port now. But, when I checked the info on the BMW VIN Decoder, I found out something wrong in the interior. The color of the trim is brown (Headlining anthracite) with accent chrome. I want brushed aluminum trim with trim highlight high-gloss black.

I called the dealer and told him the problem yesterday. He will give me a call.

Before production, I called the him what the trim and accent strip i want. I was afraid that he would make a mistake, so i called him twice to make sure there won't be any problem. Now, the car is waiting for shipping and I found out the problem.

Your CA should be able to give you a VIR (Vehicle Inquiry Report) out of their internal system to double check the options that you really have on the car.

My car shows up exactly correct on the bmwusa website, the vin decoder, and my CA's VIR.

Dunno, the 800# updated pretty quickly when my car went into production, but the website took a few days.

I'd say it's a tossup between the W&W website and the 800#

hah. I think the Aida moved a spot in the shipyard. NYKline Coral Leader is now in its spot, and marine traffic shows it in a spot up one.

I assume the NY cars would be one of the last loaded since they are near the first to get off (assuming they do a LIFO inventory) LOL

And I'm glad I am not alone in this Aida watch!

I would not expect to see the WW tracking info appear until at least tomorrow or Friday. From my earlier post, WW posted tracking info as RECEIVED on 11-4 when the ship sailed on 11-2.

Yeah, looking back through other ships/voyages it seems pretty standard that the status updates are a day or two off from the departure date.

I noticed in the write up about tracking your delivery that sometimes NYKline delivers to NY port....any reason to think we may have been put on that boat? I am having a hard time figuring out their vessel schedules. They have like 3 sites to track on.
