Question 8AT Comfort mode lag

I've slowly worked my way through a few issues, some minor and some major. I've got one left that's still aggravating: accelerator pedal lag while in Comfort mode. I probably was spending 50% time in Comfort and 50% in Sport (or Sport +). It's aggravating enough that I've switched to EcoPro when not in the mood for Sport.

Seems like the pedal just doesn't do much (if anything) for the first bit of travel. This is kinda the opposite of "Comfort" as the car sort of jerks away from a stop. Doesn't do it in Eco or Sport.

I've searched a bit and have seen a few others that have complained about it. My question: is there a fix? My dealer is OK, but I had to point out a service bulletin to them before, so looking for any info before I go back.

Thanks!

Anybody? Yes / no / maybe?

Pedal is very non-linear in Comfort...

did you have sport auto?

i didn't have any issues like this, i noticed a lag compared to sport mode but the lag was pretty consistent throughout the pedal travel

I agree, in fact I was just commenting to a buddy that the pedal response in comfort is very linear. Depress the pedal 10% and get 10% power.

I do notice slower general responses in comfort vs sport or sport + but thats what I expect...

Thanks. It's the Sport Auto. Weird that it only happens in Comfort. Eco Pro is very linear...

Honestly, I am quite impressed with how nicely my 328 accelerates in comfort mode compared to my last X3 which did not have the sport auto. But must admit that I really enjoy the responsiveness of sport and sport+.

I inform you that BMW changed power and torque response in ECOPro, Confort and Sport programs (all programs with full DSC) after last software release the last march.
That's because in wet conditions some clients complained about low traction and stability in "full DSC" programs... It sounds me incredible, but that's the facts! On converse, they increased sport reactions in Sport+ and DSC Off programs
Maybe that's the reason...
