changing sport display to show HP.TQ

Howdy folks...this has probably been discussed but my car is an ED car and I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to change the "sport display" tach in the NAV to show HP and TQ...it currently shows Kw and Nm. Can this only be coded? My friend went with me to ED and got the same exact car but his has the correct readings. ugh.

I just got mine and was wondering the same thing. I can't find any setting to change it to ft/lbs. seems odd.

If not, then I think the only way is via coding. There is a specific setting for this.

If not, then I think the only way is via coding. There is a specific setting for this.

Didn't see anything in language/units for this. Just the standard mi vs km. c vs f. Etc. doesn't make sense that it would be coded differently for multiple US models.

I remember seeing this being reported with some early 2012 builds and also with ED cars.

You can ask the dealer about it, maybe they can address it.

I know coding will change it.

Do you have hp/tq in ft/lbs, etc? That's what we're trying to figure out...

I have HP/FT-LB in my sports display. It came that way from the factory. Mine is an April 2012 built from Germany, not ED.

I seem to remember that I had an HP/KW unit setting line in the Language/Units section, but I think it was removed when they updated the software in the car because I just checked and it's not there now.

I'd still ask the dealer first. Maybe a software update will fix the issue.

Yes, not in mine, January build...thanks for heads up, I didn't even know it was an option, figured it was a Euro thing.

I wonder for those of us with modifications, if it'll account for more torque/HP, lol?

I have HP and ft-lbs. Which I like, but it is weird because Canada is metric so I would have assumed it would be KW & NM

There is a setting for this in iDrive, at least in my new navi F31.

i don't think US has hp and ft-lbs unless is codded, i will check later on mine if it can be changed, I know i tried changing it in the past and i couldn't find that option

Likewise in my ActiveHybrid 3 with new nav. I guess this option isn't exposed in the settings on the older nav.

Yes it does. Well mine has that and I did not code anything.

i did ED on AUG 28th, so it was one of the 1st production cars, so maybe they changed on later productions, for example they said that 13s would come with the ASS programmed to remember the last state mine didnt

my friend had his car coded to turn off start/stop and he got the change to hp/tq...my firmware was too new at the time to remove ASS because I had put in sirius without getting premium at port. so, I waited, and recently got the ASS reprogrammed but it didn't change the kw/nm reading...maybe it's simply a recode and some dealerships choose to fix that while programming ASS and some don't? who knows.

Yep, did a meet on the 9th and coded 5 cars. Lots of folding mirrors and TPMS displays out there now.
