That would work for me actually very close to me in Glendora. But I'm not the one that does the coding so we gotta work what's best for who ever can help us out in future code session

I'm still looking for the updated data files. No joy yet. I was hoping that the latest ones going around now (47.7) would do it, but I just checked and that version is still too old for you.

I'll keep trying. When I take my car in for the 15K service, I'm betting that they will update the software and unless I have updated files, I'll lose my codings too.

Thanks,
We haven't set a date yet but I should have my car back by this Friday if everyone wants to set something up closer to Thousand Oaks direction to make it more convenient for frogman. Maybe a location between the majority of us and him.

I'm also new here and would love to get some coding done. Anyone know if there is a code to have RPM's displayed on the HUD? Can we do a Sunday this time? I just have too much on Saturdays. Thanks.

I don't know of anyway to get the RPM on the HUD. I'd like that too!

There are settings for the M-Sport HUD options (including the M-Sport Tach display), but enabling them does nothing in the F30; the functions must be disabled somewhere else; probably in the firmware.

Thanks

As far as I know I think I had the newest car only 2-3 weeks old so if he has the software update for mine them I'm sure everyone older would be covered. (He would need to verify)

I was thinking of doing this again on a Sunday also.

How about shooting for another coding session on Sunday, December 9th?

PM me if you are interested. This will be limited to F30's only as that's all I have experience with.

Unless someone centrally located wants to host this, I was thinking of meeting in the parking lot of the LA Zoo (I-5 and the 134). It's fairly centrally located and has lots of free parking.

I now have the latest that is available. Nick's car was too new 2 weeks ago, but I now have the files we were missing then.

I don't know of anyway to check ahead of time without a cable.

My car is exactly 2 weeks old today so i believe i had the same version.
I'm ok to drive any distance within LA/ OC area to have it done for my car so I'm ok wherever we do this! Dec 2nd isn't bad for me too. want to do this sooner than later to avoid holiday shopping traffic haha

Frogman one more question,
is there a way to disable to amber light and for it to only turn on when blinking?

I installed a relay in my old cars and want to do it for this car.
I was wondering if i can do this from coding. Thanks

Anyone planning on coding further south? North county San Diego maybe? Or Irvine? L.A. zoo is 110 miles North from my house.
Thanks

Agreed about the traffic. This weekend is shot for me, so that's why I picked the 9th. I don't think any of us want to deal with the traffic any weekend after that!

Yes, it looks like you can.

The things that can be coded and are know to work and are listed in the .pdf in port # 54 of this thread.

http://www.f30post.com/forums/showpo...0&postcount=54

Note that some of the coding items require that you have the hardware to support it. For instance, downloading phone ringtones to the car requires a combox which you only get if you have BMW Assist.

Also, enabling the Sports display for non-Nav cars is not working on F30's yet. This screen shows up, but there is no info shown.

Sunday morning around 10:00 (like last time) works for me; less traffic!

Let's see how many people are interested and what time works best.

Oops, don't send me PM's to confirm this!!

My PM privileges here have been suspended for 30 days; apparently I PM'ed a banned URL that I didn't know was not allowed...

So, if you are interested in attending this meet, please send me an e-mail at frogmanf30@gmail.com and let me know if 10:00 on Sunday, December 9th works for you or not.

DarkTrigger, are you interested in attending too?
