Exclamation Digital Fuel Gauge Problem

Dear Friends!

My digital fuel gauge (or I don't what's the name of the panel below the speedometer...) doesn't shown, as you can see on the example picture I attached.

I don't think it went wrong (the car is pretty new, it has only 5.500 km), more likely I changed something in the setup menu.

Do you have any tips or ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Don't mean to be mean, but have you tried reading the manual?

Do you simply mean the displays which are accessed by cycling through the BC button sequence? (mpg, mph, range, etc.)

If so, just cycle through the functions, until you get what you want displayed.

The BC button is on the end of the turn stalk.

There isn't any display under the speedometer. Extended Contents display only is under the Tach. Your fuel gauge is on the left, in analog.

Maybe I wasn't express myself in a correct way. I didn't mean the board computer's display, but - as I mention - the digital fuel gauge(? - or range display...? I don't know its exact name...).
The BC button don't do anything with it, I suppose.

And yes, there is a display:

I tried to look after it in the owner's manual, but I couldn't find any helpful information.

So after all, any more tips would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Those 2 pics are not depicting the same IP:

Top pic-- typical F30 analog display, with no contents under the speedo.
Bottom pic-- either a digital dash, or not an F30 (maybe 5-Series https://paultan.org/2012/05/14/new-e...rom-july-2012/).

OP had a pic of the analog display. Which has no info below the speedo.
Refer to this BMW instructional video:

And also this IP test video that shows all the indicator lights and IP display areas:

If you are talking about the miles to empty as shown below (which is showing 100 miles until empty) then using the button on the end of the turn signal stalk will cycle through the options which can be displayed. If this isn't your question, then I'm not sure what you are asking about. If you google "bmw 440i instrument cluster" and then click on images maybe you can find an image showing what you are trying to display.

The above two statements should answer your question OP and I was one that got pretty pissed off when I saw a "blank" there instead of a screen. (would've been a nice feature as I show speed versus DTE) Save your money and go with the digital cluster retrofit ($1600 USD) which will give you exactly what you want and a whole lot more!

Not mine. Found it with a google search.

I did get mine with a full tank.

Good because I was going to say if he didn't get a full tank of gas, just think of what he actually paid for the car LMAO

There is nothing on the left side on the F30. You're "estimated economy" is shown under the right dial (from battery to fuel consumed).

The MPH / l/100km will show in the center section if you cycle through the BC stalk.

The left side might show miles/km's to empty if you reach critical fuel levels (not sure though).

If you get the digital dash, the range is shown under the speedo, but not on the regular dash.

Even if you get the extended cluster, that part remains black.

Fuel Gauge and Range Display Problems

Hi,
I have the same digital dash display however of late whenever I top up, the fuel gauge display on the left shows a FULL tank while the kilometres range display shows it is not FULL. In the past, it always displays FULL similar to the fuel gauge display. I have sent to local BMW dealership, they checked and said the range display is dependent on my driving style (km/litres), if I drive hard, the range kilometres will show less than FULL. Problem is this has never happened before until of late.

Has anyone experienced similar problems and found a solution?

What you are saying appears it is NOW working correctly. It should be variable over each tank, according to how you have been driving prior to filling.

I'm with highlandpete. I see nothing wrong since the bottom swing graph is an estimate on mileage. I believe 600 km is the max.

I’d like to refresh this thread. My 2018 340i w extended digital display just decided to hide the digital fuel meter under the speedometer, and the digital real time mpg estimate under the tach. The manual says I can toggle it under displays in iDrive but the setting isn’t there.

Anyone have a suggestion I’m missing? Maybe it’s related to the trip computer or vehicle dynamics?
