As dash variations, you do it with Dremel in real time to your dash. Bigger question in your case, does it work with your CIC and not NBT. |

I was concerned about chopping up my screen and not using a template but once I notched out the sides following another member's images, I physically started "test fitting it" to check the sides and bottom. On mine, I said "f" it and enlarged the tabs after cutting my dash ONLY under the screen so if I ever do go back, it will not be seen at all. The only part I really screwed up was on the back....I cut in the center and it wasn't necessary It still looks fine as the center cut cannot be seen from outside unless you look straight down from the windshield haha. Thanks Alanjreid257 for the screen; I really appreciate the deal, fast shipping and excellent service you provided!

Well I'll be joining the group soon, if someone tells me this won't work I will literally cry.
Just purchased 2014 f15 nbt unit complete with screen at why I believe is a steal price. Unit will be going in my 2013 entry HU. Will be installing as soon as it arrives . |

That’s a major operation and far outside the scope of this thread (actually has nothing to do with this thread). |

That's what I keep trying to tell everyone that wants my old 8.8 screen but most still want to "try anyway" which is insane.

Completed this swap (8.5 to 10.25) in about an hour and a half today. No template needed - just expect to get in and out of your car 50+ times to test fit, then dremel a bit, then test fit etc.
It’s easy enough. Didn’t have to cut the dash except underneath - all material removed from the screen. Coded resolution change and there’s a definite improvement imo - especially in the quality of the reverse cam picture. Movies are now great. And the split screen functionality that previously as a gimmick now actually has enough screen real estate to make it work. Very happy. I made one tiny error and I have damaged a piece of the front lip on the new screen by about 1mm on the very corner where I removed too much material from the back corner on that side - but I'm living with it despite my OCD!
