Agree, the ferric grey to me looks like a dirty silver wheel. I'm more a fan of the clean bright normal silver.

I know you did ask, but I'm also getting Ferric Grey wheels. In a compromise with family I'm getting silver instead of Estoril. Good luck |

Ferric grey looks okay with some paint colors (black, white) but looks HORRIBLE with a color like mineral grey. Even on a beautiful car like the M235i shown here, the ferric grey wheels just ruin it -- they make it look plain. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with the idea of stealthy dark wheels, but these just look like dirty silver wheels. The change to ferric grey is a serious problem for me because I want to order mineral grey with M Sport brakes. BMW gives the rest of the world a choice of ferric grey or silver wheels with M Sport brakes -- so why not in the USA? Definitely a mistake by BMWNA. Fix it! |

I have been upset with a lot of this too. BMW USA cuts our choices which many can't understand why it bothers me because they like the stuff BMW is doing. In the past I had choice to order iDrive or EDC now I don't. BMW USA is doing this a lot. The rest of the world gets choice on EDC, USA does not. Europe gets awesome base Alcantara/Cloth interior. We don't get that choice. Same with color wheels and several other things. It is this lack of choice that bugs more than the interior, EDC etc. I wouldn't care about it, if I could just order the car with the color wheels, interior and suspension that most the world gets. Absolutely agree, the Ferric Gray looks good with some colors and not others. I also think the M235i wheel is not my favorite design. I actually like the 228i M-Sport wheel a little more and the Ferric gray works better on that wheel. Then again, it's all to our individidual taste which is why BMW needs to give USA back some of the choices! Are we not an important market for them? |

I know that people are getting used to this NEW color of wheels from BMW and some don't like it... It's something different that's for sure....

It's more than color... 400m has a slightly different design than the 441m.
To my eye the 400m looks more trim in the hub area; with the 441m implying slightly slimmer spokes.

In my opinion the ferric grey wheels are terrible, they look okay with black, but that's about it. Mineral grey, no way. Estoril, maybe, but looks blah. The car loses its pop with the grey wheels.
If you want the M Sport brakes, go with the 19" orbit grey 442M's. |

If you want silver wheels, either the 400M or the silver 441M wheels will fit M Sport brakes. The ordering restriction is just arbitrary by BMWNA. Your dealer has ready access to all of these wheels, despite what he might tell you. |

Saw the Ferric Gray with Black Sapphire Metallic today and I can tell you it is a beautiful combination. Thats what I ordered today for my new F36. It is very stealthy with that color, and compliments it well. Kudos to BMW. Better than gunmetal.

im really happy i got a 2014 4 series msport because i really love my 441 wheels in the stock silver. one reason i have not gotten aftermarket wheels. I think the decision to go with Ferric Gray is because the stock msport brake pads give off so much dust that the silver gets dirty after one 25 mile drive. With the Ferric Gray they can stay looking cleaner longer. Just a theory but makes sense to me.
