Has your dealer told you anything about when the Xdrive 330d is likely to be released?

Dealer expects spec to become available for diesel engines January 2013 with first build not starting until March 2013 and a possible first delivery date of May 2013.

Is spec not just going to be the same as the 2 wheel drive models? My dealer reckoned a premium of £1200 - £1500 for the xdrive above the 2 wheel drive models.

Is xdrive definitely going to be available on the 330d? I had recently heard 320d was going to get but not seen anything recently for 330d (though saw something posted in one of the car magazines I think some months ago). When i asked my dealer in November they just referred to the 320i

Yes the overall spec of the cars will be the same, I was just referring to the MPG and C02.

I will be disappointed if the 330d does not get the Xdrive. I understand it is quoted at "selected diesel models" so I assumed it would be the 320d and 330d.

Hopefully the information be available within the next week or so. I have waited 4 months so 2 weeks is fine. And yes the expected price difference is somewhere about £1500.

I have had a word with all of them but info primarily from Bavarian. I was hoping to hear something on the forum.

On the German website configurator they have 320i, 328i, 335i and 320d in xdrive but not 330d. I guess that means a 330d xdrive in RHD is a long way off. Shame.

The 330d is a new engine unlike the others. So it will come, but not just yet. I'll give it 3 months for LHD and 6 months for RHD.

I too am waiting for the F31 330d M Sport xDrive to become available. It is so frustrating to be left to wait and wait and wait without knowing when if at all this model might be released. The question will be if it doesn't get released in the Spring this year, do I just get the RWD version or possibly wait another 6 months or more for the xDrive model?

I am so thinking the same. You would think BMW should have some info available now!

Just been advised that Xdrive will be available in 320d and 325d from March 2013. Awaiting further spec and if this will be the same for the tourer.

It sounds as if the 330d is some bit away if at all?????

The UK BMW web page has been updated indicating the model availability will be updated on 17 January 2013.

I was told it is the 325d engine from the 5 series however don't know if this is actually right? If it is it is likely in around the 144.

My local dealer contacted me today to tell me that the F31 330d xDrive will go into production in week 10 (the start of March 2013) the M Sport price is £39,545, VED band F (142g/km).

So I hope to be putting in my order next month.

No he didn't, but if you compare the difference between the petrol xdrives and the non xdrive with the same engine. You would expect a similar drop it only seems to be a few mpg. Having checked combined drops by around 5mpg

Hope it would be better than that - saloon 320i xdrive is about 10g CO2 worse than 320i 2wd, so I would hope 330d xdrive touring would come out around 145 (135 2wd) with 325d maybe around 135 as xdrive

the F30 seems a fair bit better on official figures than F10 hence I'm guessing CO2 on F30 xdrive will be similar to F10 2wd. For some reason I am unacquainted with, F20 no better than F30 on CO2 with the same engines
