Car and Driver, Motor Trend, Road and Track all got 6.5 or 6.6 seconds. I clocked 6.7 stock and 6.1 with stage 1, but if you want to pull random numbers out of the air that have no basis in reality, you can do that too. It's the internet after all.

OP = get what you can afford. you can just about justify any viewpoint and make it rational.
if its raw speed, then there are options outside BMW...

7.3 is what it says on the Greek BMW site...
Whatever, BMW's claims are as accurate as a toddler's claims! |

What you have is 0-100km, not 0-60 miles. There is slight difference between them.
If you check www.bmwusa.com, it's listed as 7.1 |

You would have to be...challenged, to take over 7 seconds in that thing.

The 320i's sport package is by far the best value in any package BMW offers and is almost like they decided to throw their fans a bone tbh given the cost of getting those same items on higher trims and models.
A 320i with sport package is really the only good "value" car BMW makes (I guess M235i can be argued as well). They make great cars but are usually even more expensive than the equivalent MB and Audi. With that said, I'm glad I didn't have to make the decision OP is going through, the 328i's extra power is very noticeable. |

The 320 is a good value, but let's not kid ourselves that at stock levels it is close to a 328i. I've seen 328is getting clocked anywhere from mid 5s to low 6s. I would expect the 320 to be a second slower if not more.
We can talk about tuned all day but let's not forget the 328i can be tuned as well.

There is no question about it. 328 is faster than 320, stock for stock. Period.
The original question was if it justifies $4k-5k price difference, which is subjective... |

You can say that for pretty much any of the BMWs. The 335I costs about $5K more...the price and horsepower delta is the same between the 328I and 335I and 320I and 328I.

320i ZSP is the better value and choice. Just the sports seats and steering wheel itself is miles ahead of the 328i no line. Just look at how many no line 328i's are on the road compared to sport 320i. Just the driving feel itself with sport package makes this a no brainer.

It may be massive for you, which I understand. However, probably you will agree with me that difference is not important for the majority of BMW owners. Also not everyone using their cars like they stole it. Just think about V4 Altima-Camry-Fusion-Accord owners switching to 320i. This car would be faster than their old one and most of them won't care another second savings with a 328i.

So, yes, you're right - when compared to a lot of other cars on the market, the 320i is not slow. A 6.7 second 0-60 is not bad for a DD. That said, if speed matters, and you're trying to drive like a maniac, absolutely get a 328i or 335i.

Anyways I am not going to argue furthermore. I am very happy for the OP cause it is a good feeling to get a new car. The sport package really makes it and I think the red looks great. If you feel the need for power, there are mods out there that will help you get real world gains, just keep in mind BMW can be finicky when it comes to warranty issues (I bought a stage 1 for my car and I am very excited to get it ).
