Personal taste, but I'll say standard. Slimline on the front is probably ok, but definitely look too small on the rear.

I have custom plates since 1992. My company's name - white text on black background. Full size. My wife wants me to change them to the slimline plates. I agree.

Slimline on the F30 will look great.

Saw a PPQ brochure at the dealer's and there's a new range called the 'A Series'?

Plates were an A followed by 5 alpha numeric characters, wondering how much they'd be cos on the PPQ site i can't find them yet.

What are the measurements of the slimline euro plates? If they are what I think they are, I still say they're too small for the rear
Custom plates with 1 or 2 characters are the worst. Cost a packet, and because of the size look ridiculous.

Euro plates only come in 1 size:
Euro Motor Vehicle (520mm x 112mm) [front and back]

but i like these ones in slimline:
Motor Vehicle Slimline (372mm x 100mm)

So what options can ewe add to our F30s for that kind of money?
We can spend an absolute fortune on plates here in Vic as well.

In keeping with almost everything automotive imports in Australia, the above is price gouging at its very best.

Just paid $275 to order custom plates and it's a $440 per year extra on top of your rego. I picked the new bright lights design to contrast the alpine white exterior. This is in NSW

So QLD has the same price on top of rego for full alphanumeric plate? so basically here in NSW it's around $1000 per year to register the car. Kinda what you'd spend on a friday night with friends in the city (meals, accom, girls, etc)

It's a one off cost. Qld transport haven't worked out there's an opportunity to gouge people further (yet).

Yea it makes a $1k rego per year, saw this green Holden ute with some green led plate lights that changed his black with with white letter plates into quite a psychedelic color... Looked quite amazing in fact like all the black turned into a gold / silver fluid like color and the letters went golden/green.
Who here remembers the futuristic plate on the De Lorean in "Back to the Future 2" ? The plates looked good, that was meant to be the year 2015, I don't see Mr Fusion powering our electric cars in 2 1/2 years or 10 for that matter.

Garage List
For Sydney owners it's worth noting that as of October 8th, you will be able to order custom plates that are number first but still technically a "standard format" - options like 000-AAA and 00-AAAA. These new combinations will only attact the $95 per year customising fee rather than the $440 for premium options.
