Wich battery charge/Power supply do you use?
Hello I have tried to figure out wich battery charger or power supply I should buy to be able to do coding but there don't seem to be any recent thread about it.
What should I look for? Would any high amperage >20A charger work? Or would a regulated DC voltage lab power supply 20A bought from e-bay be better? If I use a power supply should I set it to 14 or 12 volts? |

If you use the schumacer like a dc supply what voltage do you set it too?
btw Do you know any other good charger that I can get here in Europe for a good price without paying high shipment? Do you think that a cheaper high amp charger would work just fine or a cheaper lab dc supply with 20-30 amps? |

All BMW states is maintain a minimum of 12.6 Volts during programming: As for the charger, 20 Amps is no where near enough. In 2008 with the introduction of the E65, BMW was calling for a minimum 45 Amp charger as follows: I am told now with Fxx cars it is a 70 Amp minimum, and ideally 100 Amp. Sorry, but I don't know a good source for the European market.
