I have a F32 435i X-Drive, but unfortunately my dealer did not get the adaptive LED-lights, and I am stuck with a halogen fog light, and unfortunately my dealer wouldn't order me the LED's and if he did would charge me $500+. Where can I find the OEM BMW fog lights online, and what model fits? (I've found ones for X3 & X5, but I'm not sure if they fit) Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I have a 528i with them. They are 30~40% brighter than halogen IMO. However, I got a 3200lm H8 kit for my F32 from Horizon in order to help me out in spotting nasty potholes. Cost me 2 tires so far. Plus, the BMW leds are kind of pricy if your on a small budget. Around $400 for 2 lights doesn't seem justified, would rather buy a performance part with that money.

Just installed LED's from Horizon as my fogs. Did all of your coding settings but I'm rather worried about the 100% vs 13.7V for the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). What's the difference in volts between them?

Hi there guys. I was wondering if any one can help.

I have followed the coding instructions and the flickering has stop. But I still have the foglight error on the dash and when I turn the steering the cornering light nothing happens?

It will be great if some one can help me out.

Thanks

I just installed the a pair of F32 LED fog lights on my 2014 F31. If i leave the PWM to the default 13.7V, the fog lights will flicker after about a minute. Changing that to 100% stopped the flickering. I don't know the difference in voltage between the two settings.

That's weird, I just had some new LEDs installed too, didn't need to code this as well. Did your LEDs come with an LED driver?

What do you mean by LED driver? The LED fog lights i installed are made by BMW for F32 and they replaced the entire factory fog light housings, so it's not just replacing the incandescent bulbs with LED ones.

Oh my bad. Then I guess that explains why they flicker. I just replaced the bulb, and the replacement LED has the driver which regulates the voltage from 12-32V.

What do they code on/off?

I got a pair of F32 LED fog lights that I want to fit into my F22 (some work needed because of M-bumper). Anyway, I just tested them with a laboratory power supply at voltages between 12 and 13.7 volts and they do flicker at all voltages, but least at 12.4V. The lab power supply generates a constant DC voltage level, so there can't be any PWM on the input side.
The flickering is at about 80-120Hz (I guess ... have to get a photo diode for my oscilloscope).
If this is normal, BMW must use a very cheap CC source.

And here are my results...
The lights have a 200Hz PWM with some random 30-100Hz peaks that cause some kind of short term flickering
I will contact BMW to find out if this is normal. If so, I will go for some bulb replacements as well or 3D print my own fog lights.

I never was able to reach someone of the engineering department. All email requests ended like: Give us your address so the local dealer can check your car.
After I had driven a Mercedes with LED headlight that appeared to me like stroboscopes, i believe all the manufactures do not bother this issue since only a few people complain and they can save a few bucks on every light...

My solution are the Philips H8 LED fog lights. Had to code it the same way as the original LED lights and with a little cap on top no one ever recognized them as not BMW parts.

Hello there ,

I want to keep the signal lights on the exterior mirror of the F30 constantly on. Can you help with encoding?

Hi, I did retrofit OEM LCI led fog lights and was doing some research for the coding. I don't have esys and use bimmercode instead, so I can't code VO for led fog lights.

When looking at the coding for other factory led's in the car (like halo's, rear led strips, third brake light and mirror turn signal), they have some identical coding, that differ from the coding of halogen bulbs.
I think the right coding for factory led fog's should be:

3061 NSW_R_CCM -> vor 7/12 or ab7/12. Mine is set to (before)vor 7/12(month/year) and I think it should be (after)ab 7/12
3061 NSW_R_KALTUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv
3061 NSW_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv
3061 NSW_R_IS_LED -> aktiv
3061 NSW_R_UE_SPG_SCHUTZ -> nicht aktiv - all current leds are set to nicht aktiv and all incandescent to aktiv. So change to nicht aktiv
3062 MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 -> 100%
3062 MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_R_FIXED_PWM -> fixed - all current leds are set to fixed and all incandescent to pwm. So change to fixed
3063 MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 -> 100%
3063 MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_R_FIXED_PWM ->fixed - all current leds are set to fixed and all incandescent to pwm. So change to fixed

*
3061 NSW_L_CCM -> vor 7/12 or ab 7/12. Mine is set to (before)vor 7/12(month/year) and I think it should be (after)ab 7/12
3061 NSW_L_KALTUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv
3061 NSW_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv
3061 NSW_L_IS_LED -> aktiv
3061 NSW_L_UE_SPG_SCHUTZ -> nicht aktiv -- all current leds are set to nicht activ and all incandescent to aktiv. So change to nicht aktiv

3063 MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_L_FIXED_PWM ->fixed - all current leds are set to fixed and all incandescent to pwm. So change to fixed

kurzschluss - don't change default value (aktiv).
dualsp - don't change default value (nicht aktiv).
