Paul. I was in touch with DMS. They offer a service whereby they will come to you anywhere in the UK to uninstall the map if you need to go into the dealership and reinstall it - for the liftetime of your ownership. Do Evolve offer anything like this? I would not mind travelling to you although unlimited call outs has perks. They quoted me £900.

You can tell I have taken my research to the nth degree.

We do not do mobile remaps so that is not an option for us. We can do that if you come to us each time you want it installed or uninstalled. That is no guarantee that BMW still can't tell you had tuned your car at some point.

Yes that is correct. However, I do not have any experience of DMS. Whereas I do have of Evolve and cannot fault the service or product. Or people behind it.

How are you finding the 540I?, under powered?
I have a test drive tomorrow just to try one out but I think will need 400+BHP for me TBH.

It's actually quite rapid but more without any drama as it's so insulated so I think the MSPPK will be the first thing for a touch more power and the louder exhaust, then if that's not enough I'll go the remapped route. I would definitely recommend the adaptive drive though , my car drives so much better than the test drives I'd had of cars without it.

What sort of 0-60 do you see on the 320d 184hp post map?

Does it handle 70-80mph better?

The power gains are significant as per the dyno graphs in the first post but we have never Vboxed one.

It comes out in December in the UK apparently. Only a small 20bhp increase so may not be worth it. I'll see what the dealers are pricing it as at the time and also exactly what's swapped out during the process. I assume it's only a small increase due to not wanting to step on the toes of the 550i but as that's not available in the uk I really don't see why they can't increase it to around 400bhp like the tuning boxes say they can achieve.

I would get the car checked out if it's performance is very poor 60-100. A standard 320d should pull pretty well in that range, .. the cars have a top speed of 140mph+ too.
