The way D1S (the type of bulb for the Xenons) works is that it is pre-warmed up when the lights are off so when you flick the high beams its still very bright flashes of light. not like traditional HID bulbs where it takes time to warm up before they get bright |

Quite possibly, though the main point was that only one ever lights up

It is amusing to me you call the heated steering wheel out. I live in an area of cold snowy winters. My 335 is my winter beater. I hate wearing gloves while driving and am happy to use the heated wheel for the beginning of each trip when the car needed to sit outside while shopping, etc..
On the other hand, I could care less about heated seats - a feature many here consider sacrosanct, along with sunroofs (useless in my opinion). |

Easy enough to believe. I am in the minority in finding heated seats annoying at best.
Besides, you are in LA where anything below 70 degrees is considered jacket weather. |

Now A/C seats on the other hand are the @#!%, those are game changers pretty much 8 months of the year regardless of where you live. oops - misread, thought you meant you live in LA, oh well, guess point still stands. |

Being in socal, i find the heated seats and heated steering wheel are awesome creature comfort, especially driving with the sunroof fully open during the winter where the air is crisp!
My car doesnt have any options that i dont need. I made sure not to select the useless options. ;P |

There is no pointless option. It's all case by case. Some will need certain feature while others won't. Also, these cars are built from lots of thoughts. Corporation will only put necessary feature. Not more or not less.

Many users complain about heated seats but I need them and it's standard at here. I'd love to have air conditioned leather seats on my F31. Unfortunately you can't have them in 3-series which lead me to the alcantara seats again. I don't want to buy 5-series boat even the option list is much bigger.
