New F30 and trip to Scotland
Picked up the 17 plate 320i M Sport in mineral grey at the end of March, then had a big drive up to Scotland a few weeks later! This is the journey!
First off I gave it a full wash, polish, and wax using the method I've picked up from here... Jet wash Snow foam (kind of, Megs NXT through a foam lance) Jet Wash Two bucket clean using the same Megs NXT Dry with waffle cloth and microfibers Polish with AG Super Resin Polish Wax with Megs NXT Tech Wax 2.0 Interior was just the Megs quik interior detailer. All products worked like a charm, with the exception of the AG SRP, will be looking to replace that with a better polish that leaves less dust... Thought id make sure it was as shiny as possible before the 1000 miles i was about to put on it... Decided I would cruise control and sit at 70 on any motorways, save the petrol and see how many miles it will do on a full tank, turned out to be around the 550 mark! Not bad at all! After the drive up i was just about past the 1000 mile mark so time to put the foot down! SOO much fun was had! Parked the car up at the cottage and was ready for it's first photo shoot... Was an amazing place to stay, and amazing views, by the end of the week... Drove back sticking to the same rules, 70 cruise control, with the exception of a few bits where I just wanted to put the boot down! At the end of the journey the stats were... Such an amazing car, once I've paid it off probably looking at unleashing a bit more of the power, and possible other mods, for now it stays as it is! Can't wait for the next big journey! |
