Not only can you not hail an Uber from the street or randomly hop into a car with a horseshoe (the app isn't designed for it, not to mention some states have a law against it), it's damned near impossible to cancel the ride and have her rerouted to your car, since the dispatch is automated and first-come-first-serve (i.e. no picking and choosing), and the phone service is only for dire emergencies... vs. with taxis, you can be hailed, and if you were reserved, you can work it out with dispatch who is a call/radio away if push came to shove.

I would not be surprised if she got offers for xxx movies now that she lost her job. She'll profit big time regardless so in the end she wins. And even if she won't do that, she'll get another gig at a hospital.

NEFARIOUS, last year for a few Fridays I did Lyft and I was offered cocaine 'fresh off the brick', beer, passengers leaving beer bottles/cans in my car, gum wraps and constant door slams. I love to drive and it was fun at times but the majority of ppl in Miami are rude and kept giving me 4 stars lol.

Hmm... I never had issues with trash or drug offerings (I did get asked where to score some once though, but it was a seedy area), and as soon as my day job's work bell rang, the partner app was on until 8, and spent every waking hour of my weekend on the road and completed 288 trips (just logged in to check)...

I hope I'm not jinxing myself by not having a "really crazy story", but the worst thing that happened was a teen with a repulsing amount of body odor, or a guy arguing on his phone in Arabic the entire 50 minutes in an UberPOOL (I can tell the other passenger was annoyed, but neither of us wanted to confront him because of the political correctness bullcrap). But I did get a lot of door slams though; guess they ride in econoboxes too much.

A bunch of facts are missing from this thread:

1. The whole thing started when the Uber driver showed up to pick up a different person and she couldn't grasp that concept.

2. She drove her own car there but knew she was wasted so she decided to Uber home after her boyfriend broke up with her (seconds before this interaction).

3. The Uber driver couldn't pick her up because she wasn't his fare.

4. The person who filmed it is the person who the Uber was supposed to pick up.

5. She apologized to the driver and paid for the damage to his car after the video cut off. He declined to press charges.
