Closing Rear Hatch

My wife hasn't quite gotten used to the power close button to close the rear hatch. She has manually closed it twice now, just curious if this could possibly damage anything.

It won't damage anything, she just has to be sure that she pushes it down far enough for the latching system to engage.

Thanks for the reply! Do any of the gran coupes have an available sensor that closes the hatch when you swipe your foot under the rear bumper?

My GC hatch closes with the "foot swipe" it also makes back up beeping sounds while it is closing a pretty handy feature I never thought I would use but have come to love.
