New to Bimmer post and BMW

Good day everyone,

I would just like to introduce myself as i will be around these forums more often.
I am currently trading in my 2011 VW Jetta and i am picking up my brand new 435i X-drive Gran Coupe next saturday (March 19th)
Living in Toronto, Canada

Coming from my 1994 VW Golf, to a 2011 Jetta and now on to BMW feels like a big jump and more responsibility. All of which i am willing to take on and learn as i go
The options i picked for the 435i are as follows:
Premium Essential
M performance 1 & 2
Sapphire black w/ Coral red interior.
I'm pretty excited and I am almost at the point of losing sleep!!
I did a lot of stuff to my VW and I am on the fence on the things i would and wouldn't do to the BMW:
Wheels (Yes)
Lowering (Thinking about it)
etc

After some research on this forum i wouldn't mind trying my hand at some coding.

I hope to contribute as much as i can to this community as well as ask all the questions i can.

Thanks everyone.
-Patrick

Congrats & Welcome!! Nice Jetta by the way, looks very nice and clean. My bother is a VW fan and would definitely tried to convince you not to switch.

Nice car man! Make sure to post some photos when you pick yours up! It's definitely a bigger responsibility driving a BMW...I found it to be a huge difference from my old car as well. I'm a lot more conservative and cautious when I drive around in traffic, but occasionally when the roads are open I enjoy some spirited driving when possible

I had a Jetta years ago as well but I switched to Mazda myself before buying my F30 recently. Nice to see someone else from Toronto as well - hopefully we can find some local meets when the weather heats up!

I've been really looking into the opening/closing of windows with the fob.
Did i need the comfort package? Or will i be able to still do it with my current options.
Also the video play back

Just out of curiosity - where do you Toronto guys take your cars for service? I bought mine from Endras BMW in Ajax (fantastic experience), but I live just west of the GTA so I'd rather not have to drive all the way back there for service every time I need something done. I was thinking of going to Pfaff BMW since it's relatively close to my house, or Budd's in Oakville is another option for me. I would love to hear your experiences so I can weed out where not to take my car at the very least

I heard that Serpa and Town & Country are both great dealerships to deal with as well. Unfortunately both of them (along with Endras) are slightly farther than I'd like to go when it comes to just regular scheduled service appointments.

You should be able to open/close your windows with fob. You have to have at least the EntryNav, not the HUEntry to be able to watch videos.
