Audis look sharp these days. I really like the new S5 4 door. The looks alone make me consider it for next car.

Exactly. If OP likes the car, it doesn't matter what any of us think. It's his car. OP--enjoy!

Those RS3s are FAST.

I was at the strip and they run 12 flat @115-117mph stock.

I believe unitronics already came out with a tune for the TTRS/RS3 and just a tune, they ran 10.8@126mph.

Audi's 5 cyl are no joke.

Congrats on the new car

Not a bad looking car, congrats, not for everyone though, after renting an A4 once, would never consider an Audi myself.

This is right! We can all hate it or love it.. but it's the OP that has to live with it. RS parts must be more expensive to pay for though!!

Congratulations with the RS3.
I would love an RS3 myself, but with the Danish car taxes it was out of the question, the base price for the RS3 in Denmark is equivalent to 148.000 USD.
I did test drive an S3 which was also nice, but I preferred a 330i M-sport, partly because of size, and interior.
Both have nice interiors compared to a lot of cars, so it is all a matter of preference.
So now all I have to do is wait for delivery of my new car, it was manufactured last week

OP, I love that RS3, great purchase. As a former Audi owner, both brands offer things that are better than the other.

IMO, that RS3 is far better looking than any 2 or 3 series, including M's.

OTOH, RWD, handling and power delivery are better in the BMW IMO

I would really have a tough decision regarding an M2, M3 or RS3

I'm curious on your feedback, I've always been a big fan on the 5cyl. I have a 340i M-Sport now which is overall a very nice car but wouldn't mind something AWD and bit more raw. Had a MK7 Golf R and it was nice but the 340i drives better. Something in between the Golf R and 340i I think would be perfect.

Also, how is the legroom in the front? I'm 6'3 so I always felt the S3 looked a bit small. The rear seats are not really of concern for me besides sticking a forward facing child seat back there.

I always thought the new audis were a bit formless and thought the M cars had just enough flare. I guess that's why looks are always subjective.

I'm sure the AWD on the RS3 shoots the car like a bat out of hell on the launch!

It's....ok.

I'm 5'10" and this is the room I got...Reverse car seat fits fine too. But you'll probably not want to do a cross country in it...It's not e36 small, it's like e90.

I hate how I can't slide around anymore...That's the only thing. The AWD is crazy sticky and rear biased so the minute I over power it catches me...lol. things you miss from Bmw!

I agree. The interior of the Audi feels really outdated and the technology is not that great. The new A4, A5, and R8 all got the awesome new technology, but the cars on the old platform (A3, A6, A7, A8) feel way out of date.

I?m 6’ and I’m used to coupes until my F30. That looks small. Coincidentally my gf’s Neighbor just got a S3. I creeped on it. The Back seat legroom was maybe less than 6 inches. My 435 F32 had more legroom.

Thanks for the feedback on the room, E90 room isn't too bad. I have a CX5 if my wife and I go any longer distances.

What is your take on the drivability compared to your 335i? I would assume a bit more nimble and overall just a bit sharper. Is the ride quality acceptable? 30-series tires as OEM worries me a bit. From what I have seen overall in my research it's a 11 second 1/4 mile car stock too so it's damn fast.

Enjoy OP. Those do look sweet.

I looked at an S3. Love the size and exterior. Lack of manual in the sport models and value dropped it from my list quickly. I thought it was expensive for a small car and to get any level of sportiness stepped up the cost quickly. Interior seemed a bit busy at first glance, but I like them to look a little "boring" inside and out. Wish my F30 was closer to the size of the Audi 3 though. No small sedan in the BMW line anymore.

Oddly enough coming from a fixed M performance suspension and 18s, the ride is better!
I keep the suspension in auto and with the self adjusting magnetic suspension I'm pretty comfy.
When it's in dynamic suspension mode it's harsh on bumps for sure.
I was pleasantly surprised but your wife won't complain .... Mine actually hated the M performance suspension and doesn't say boo to this one in auto suspension mode.

Wow that is really surprising and good to hear! I do like that they have the magnetic ride control, that has always been a superior method.

Now I just need to find somewhere to go drive one...oh how I wish we got the sport wagon because I would have one on order right now.
