A reminder for those of us with older cars that don't update over the air and have the older CIC Pro Navigation the 2018-1 maps are now available

I loaded it all up today, appears to work OK

Note that this is the 3 USB version

Not sure how recent the actual map data is though, as far as I can tell M1 J11A isn't there and its been open for quite a few months now.

What size USB stick do you need?

For the 3 USB version you can use 16GB sticks, its only the 1 USB version you need 32GB.

This is going to be a really silly question, by 3 USB version, I assume you mean Pro Nav, with USB in glovebox and armrest?

BMW UK offer map updates at £69.95 for 24 months. If maps are released every year then that’s two updates are £35 almost per update.

Easiest way is to use eSys to generate your FSC code

Be aware that some 2010 model BMW's (X5 in my case) will need a firmware upgrade before your navigation can be upgraded to 2018. At least, this is what I was told after unsuccessfully attempting to update mine.

Also, I would suggest not using www.bmwupdates.com as they do not mention this on their site. They also do not stand by their 100% satisfaction guarantee. it's a rip-off

I think I have a similar situation. The firmware can only be updated at a dealership, correct?
