Pyro's 2015 335i build

Hey Guys,

Have made a few posts with my car kinda all over the forum, so i thought i would consolidate it here. Have previously been involved with the e90 guys a fair bit as i owned a 2012 330d (sold earlier this year)

The car is a 2015 F30 335I in Mineral Grey that i picked up at the end of 2016 (24th of dec - early Christmas pressie ).

I would say it was sold with a fair few options to the previous owner as the 335s where making way for the 340i. As such it came with 20" 624m Wheels, CF side mirrors, CF rear spoiler, Front lip and a range of internal things. Car had only done 15,000k when i picked it up.

Here is the car as purchased;

Current things done to the car
Detail & Opticoat+ (Dans garage detailing)
M-Sport exhaust
M-Sport rear diffuser
Dinan Shockware
Matt Black 335i badging
Blackline LCI taillights
M3 style grille
Various coding (Bimmercode via Vgate2)

Upcoming mods / Wish list
Side skirt extensions (bought, not installed)
Cold air intake
Downpipe
M-Sport brakes
Tune

And here is the car currently:

Latest mod installed was the LCI blackline taillights. Fair bit of thinking regarding these before buying them as i dont think they look great on every colour of BMW, however, after seeing them on a MG i thought they looked good.

Used the BMW retrofit harness and instructions for wiring them to install them (a bit of playing around, but not too difficult.

Unfortunately, following the instructions to the letter my boot taillight indicators & brake lights still dont work so i will need to do a bit more research. A few other threads have some ideas about connecting the new indicator wires into another port in the boot, however, i dont see why the brake lights wouldnt work.

Either way - Very happy with the result

lights look great on your colour car

I am still unsure if it will suit my alpine white. I am really scared it will look tacky and rice looking

Good job Pyro.

Would you mind me asking where you got your taillights from?

Not sure if you remember me... I had the 335i Convertible few years back with the red TE37.

Hey bud

Got the lights off Ebay - sent out from Europe (Latvia) with the BMW LCI wiring harness as well. Eurotrade777 was the seller. I looked around for better price, some places were slightly cheaper but didn't inc shipping / had fairly standard shipping. This included FedEx shipping.

I actually don't mind it on the white cars. - Just need to get some other black accents to tie them in (badges/spoiler/diffuser) - which you have dont you?:

The brake lights look a lot better in person than the pics show - the glow of red parking lights is the best

Took me long enough but I finally spliced the right cables so the internal indicators now blink with the external. BMW supplied retro fit guide gives the wrong location to wire the internal lights. Can be fixed with coding but much easier to use a simple splice to join it.

Also used the opportunity to give the car a wash.

BBK install coming soon too...

Funnily enough, yes!

I had the M Performance brakes installed about 2 weeks ago (after collecting dust in the garage for almost a year). Mixture of laziness and not being able to lose my car for a day.

Still need to do the side skirts, however, im pretty sure i could just put them on myself.

As for engine - after i free a bit of cash later this year i might look down the path of a tune.

Had the car for over 2 years now, just clocked past 40,000km - still enjoy it a lot.
