This is a minor accident people. All those parts upfront are designed to be easily replaced precisely because these sort of collisions are very very common.

Appraiser just left. There is a lot of bent metal and supports. He was at 60% so far, around $18k and said he is not done yet

I feel for you bud trust me some idiot didn't bother looking behind him last night decided to reverse into my back bumper

Been on the biggest downer and to top it off my insurance is telling me its no fault here in Ontario. Unfortunately there are bad drivers on the roads just glad you and your family are ok. We got the same Estoril blue 335i hurts to see it like that.

My e90 was written off after an accident that resulted in the same kind of damage. Insurance appraised damage to be $21k with a car value of $29k

Total bummer. I feel for you.

If the car is totaled, you should look into the possibility of civil litigation to recover additional $$ from the negligent driver.

I would definitely have a conversation with the insurance company of the person who rear ended you.

Maybe explain to them that helping you get a decent replacement for your car would probably be a lot less than a lawsuit.

Sometimes you have to play not so nice with them. You shouldn't have to do anything with your company.

Well crap. Kinda knew it was coming but sucked to hear the words. Estimator put it around $25k damages, we are totaled... :/

I never even got to install my Dinan spring set!

Yeah I could not believe the total appraised. He added about 4-5k of estimated "unseen" damages, that I guess the shop would see once torn down.

Good news is they valued my car at enough to pay off remainder of loan, so there's that. Only like $600 left over lol, I sent in receipts for my mods and add ons she is seeing if they add any value so maybe I can get a bit more for down payment.
