Thanks mate!

Nanolex is a nano sealant (Similar to Wolf's Hard Body)

22PLE (silica/glass) and OptiCoat (resin) are coatings (not nano sealants)

Particle structures are different, but all are polymer based sealants

At the end of the day, the definition of sealant (in automotive reference) would be the same as paint protection or coating - it's basically anything that seals the paintwork from contaminants and liquids, hence "paint protection".

What to choose?
Horses for courses.
Depends what you are after. Some have different finishes (eg. glassy look vs slick feel vs colour depth) and ultimate factor is hardness (which will impact on scratch resistance) and claimed durability (eg. wax vs synthetic sealant vs nano sealant vs other coating).

Hope this helps

Wow Raj that MG F30 looks awesome!!!

I'll bet the guy who owns it is totally stoked that his car looks better than new.... and that you got that nasty sap stain out of the bonnet!

Thanks again for a job well done.

I have been offered from BMW today on my F31 328i touring M sport with Sydney racing carnival promotion for BMW seal and Protect program for $2690 incl. GST excl. LCT and Stamp Duty ($3600 all inclusive). ends tomorrow and will be back to $3690 exc LCT and Stamp Duty from Monday.

Including
Exterior Paint Sealant
Interior Leather Treatment
Interior Carpet and Fabric Treatment
BMW Approved Tinted Windows (all touring windows plus panorama sunroof).

Since I didn't order the factory sun/heat glazing coz they don't do the two front windows, will it be worth or much cheaper to do it outside with similar BMW offer?

My Accord Euro had the paint protection, fabric and all windows tinted for $1200 all inclusive. Need Advise from professional or fellow BMW users.

sorry to hear that J1N

i hate people banging the door wide open and hit your car door. Got one old lady open the door and bang to my door in the shop while i was in the car seeing in action! chipped on my soon to be gone Accord Euro. also really hate stone chips too.

I wonder if your car's paintwork will be fully decontaminated BEFORE the sealant is applied? What brand sealant do they use? How many coats? What about alloys?

Interior leather treatment. Any good quality leather protecting solution as mentioned above will work, as will carpet & fabric treatments. Easy DIY job for a fistful of $$$

BMW approved tinted windows???? Never heard of that scam before.

For me, it was $500.00 gst inc for fully bodywork clean, decontamination & 2 coats of Hard Body. Alloys were done as well, as was interior.

$400.00 gst inc for 35% Carbon XP tinting. Perfect job.

$900.00 vs $2690. OK, add some extra for F31, call it $1500 vs 2690.

So the panorama roof isn't factory tinted? Does not make sense. My sedan's sunroof has a 35% tint from the factory as standard. Surely the F31 has factory standard tint.

Not a good deal there for you.

Ktam32, As mentioned by David328Msport you would be better off doing elsewhere other than BMW. I was at a BMW dealership recently when getting my car and they will try pull all sorts of tricks to convince you to get the protect and seal package from them. Even to the point of pretending that an email promotion was circulated to all dealers that the package has now dropped to $1995.

F31 320i/328i come with standard 'Heat/Sun Protection Glazing' without further info on the spec sheet, and in the option, you can get the Sun Protection Glazing for darker tinted glass for rear and rear side windows for extra $799.37 inc. GST and LCT.

They didn't specify the tinted level on the standard Heat/sun protection glazing. as always not darker tint for the front windows.

Mackie777 had his tinted afterward and i definitely won't want to spend extra sales pitch and $900 for extra stamp duty and LCT, no thanks. rather spend these money on my mortgage.
